it should be ok for 5 weeks until lussick and lane return.

which will likely push taupaui back into the second row and winterstein will disappear of the face of the earth. actually imagine it
will be a fight with winter and lane for the #17 at this point.

another issue is the minutes he is likely to play, no one is too sure at this point.
i want him in my team, but dont have the space

Annoying there is no rookie half nailed on to make you a shed load of cash this year. Why I'm not risking it with a Jacks/Field/Hingano until their game time becomes clearer

The only players currently in my 25 that I don't consider guns or cash makers are Yates and Fogarty. Fogarty is there for DPP value and a potential spot when Gutherson gets moved into the backs. Yates also for DPP and the chance that the Knights make some changes after a few losses. Not touching Stone, Papalii etc.

I am rating Yates highest too for similar reasons.

Papalii intrigues me a little. Seems rated by Kearney, and with Matulino injured I see a decent role for him to start the year.
But even then that might just equate to 20 mins and crap all points

Perrett is the other one I'd look at after Yates as there has been a bit of hype about him, but Manly have a lot of props so not that excited about prospects

Posted it up a few pages back but I'll throw it up again

    Smith Brailey(R)
    Fifita Jwal Musgrove(R) Kaufusi
Gallen ET KBrom Sione(R) Sironen(R) Yates
    Norman Lamb Elgey Fogarty*
    Talakai Idris Kelly Moga
    Dugan* RTS Hayne Phythian Cotric

Dugan becomes Munster with left over cash if he is named at fullback. Fogarty becomes Jacks

We've all been burnt before by Warriors rookie forwards. Palavi, Ikahihifo etc. I'm avoiding Papalii because with 3 big minute back rowers there isn't much left for the props.

Perrett probably has more scoring potential than Yates but Manly are stocked with mediocre props and he could drop out any week

Do we expect Talakai to score better?

Suli and Scott might not even play.

Cotric is just a winger - unless he bags a lot of tries he's not going to be making you a tonne of cash. He doesn't seem to be in the Mansour TBking mold

Kelly is the only one of those 4 that i wold have any decent expectations of

Talaki we've at least seen in first grade before and seems a bit more likely to get some base stats

I've just removed Dylan Walker from my squad (he's been there for weeks) Bang

its giving me the heebie jeebies, but it allows me to turn one of those dud positions in frf/2rf into an extra scorer and also get tom trbo.

Unfortunately i'm 2k short of having Talakai, and he's the one I feel best about scoring well in the ctrs of the cheapies :/

Nice team, but looks like you only have an extra one or maybe two potential money makers than what I would have, but what you're doing makes sense. I'm thinking of downgrading Mannering to either ET, or moving Carty up and putting Norman in to save some dosh as I have 1K left with my team.

I don't trust Musgrove though, but he's interesting.

What's the thinking behind people getting Fogerty over say Field. DPP, surely Guth will keep the number 6 jersey.

Other than DPP i'm not sure.

If Guth isn't in the 6 jersey, then where is he? They aren't going to dump him to the wing. Centre is a possibility but Jennings ain't moving and Takarangi seems like a favourite of Arthur there (and where else would Taka play, he aint a winger).

The only real possibility is moving French to wing and Gutho goes back to fullback. Actually, to me, that makes the Eels look like a better side..

He's a bit of a TB king and can put up a good score. But I think he is priced accurately enough and can't see massive upside

I've never started the season with money in the bank but I think 367k is way too much money, which could be used for scoring points.

I like the idea of maybe 50-100k in the bank so you only need 1 trade to jump on an early cow that you missed.

Field isn't gonna make cash playing 10 minutes a game off the bench and Hingano is going to be dropped after 2 weeks. If you are gonna have a dead spot may as well be DPP with a chance of a game if the Eels feel like reshuffling after a few losses

Am i better of with elgy in my 17 than brailey ?

    Smith / Brailey
    McGuire / D.Saifiti / Kaufusi / Leota
    JDB / Surgess / ET / S.Mat / Sironen / Yates
    Taylor / Lamb ; Elgey / Hingano
    Walker / Idris / Talakai / Kelly
    Hayne / RTS / Phythian / Holmes / Cotric

    $86K left to play with.
I was thinking of upgrading McGuire to Graham but not sure, i like having the extra money if Brailey fails and i can upgrade to Ballen later on.

hey all, just hoping someone can have a look for me. thanks
