I was looking hard at McGuire earlier and wanted him for his DPP and potential to make some decent coin and potentially evolve in a GUN, someone i could use over someone like Surgess for less $$ but I just can't see it

had his stats alongside Corey Parker, Parker played a few extra minutes at lock over McGuire playing prop last year

McGuire already made more tackles and had more RM than Parker....He also made less errors

I just cannot see where the extra points come from for him to become elite or even score more than he did last year

well I have ET, but I don't think he is a 'must have'. he fits well into my lineup and i think he'll avg 50. I think he's by far the best value around that price mark, just my opinion.

kbrom, I had zero interest in, though Harris's injury does change things. He may well play 80 minutes, if so, then yes he's great value. I don't have him though. To get him in would require a big reshuffle for me, its something I am probably going to look in to today.

I just don't think gallen has it in him. He has too much pride in his efforts and will have a strong desire for the Sharks to back up well after their premiership win. Maybe in the last month of the season if the Sharks are slipping.

No doubting the consistency mate, just some think he is a locked in gun with his lock move, I can't see it.

    Alright guys, thoughts here?

If i go Gallen -> KBrom, I can upgrade Brailey to Farah/Macca/or cheaper.

    Gallen/Brailey VS Kbrom/Macca ?

The latter gives me a solid 4th reserve rather than guessing between putting the R on Brailey or Elgey

    The other big $$ 2rf's i have are JDB/ET

source is James Hooper so make of it what you will? His level of confidence is "i reckon it will happen soon". No one else in the media appears to be saying anything about it.

Very strong considering you have forgone the Brailey temptation. It could all go pear shaped very quickly for those of us that have Brailey. Has come up at the expense of a Gum half, but I like it.

I'm not going to blow up my team on the chance that he is right. If in two weeks time Seggy is playing for the Sharks I will make the same trades I would make today. Gives us a bit more time to see how the rotations work out for hookers aswell as cheapie forwards

I dont see scott and bolton being big minute props like fifita, bromwich etc, the cowboys also have a utility on the bench.

I also cant see asiata and kaufusi playing big minutes off the bench

How important is Harris to Melbourne? Munster in a new position, Green wasn't spectacular but was a great cog, Slaters playing future causing all sorts of issues, does it affect Smiths scoring?

    I concur with these sentiments.

The $143k cash cow forwards could all forseeably make crap all between them. They'll get no game time and scores of 10-20.

And if you don't have guys making cash your initial team will need to be spot on inn every position or you'll fall behind
