Having had a look into the pricing situation, I think there may be something to the whispers.

Looks like the magic number may have been dropped to 9200, and the testing fantasy site might actually be a reflection of the actual values.

Cheapish potentially starting backrowers we have discussed are KBrom, SMat, Aloiai, maybe Sironen.

Is there anyone else who may jag a starting spot in the back row under 300k or so?

Well if KBrom or Sironen don't start then whoever starts in their place is also likely to be cheap (NAS, Felise Kaufusi, Lane, Kennedy)

Its not completely out of the question that James Fisher-Harris or Raymond Faitala-Mariner might get a starting spot.

Other than that just wait for trials to start. Mostly those of us here ar ejust guessing as to possible team selection

I was under the impression that 9200 was the magic number no?

Edit: Rookies are priced as such, but Cam Smith is priced at 9418 roughly. Which would mean he is over priced.

(My math may be wrong on this, but surely they either adjust that to make it correlate to what it should be or they are doing something else with some prices)

I believe that the previously published prices are wrong, and that they will be reduced across the board when the game actually launches.

I think the prices on the uat site reflect what we will actually see - http://uat-fantasy-nrl.fanhubmedia.com/landing/index.html#/landing are

eg Cam Smith will be $613k not $630k.
Rookies will be $134k not $138.

Hopefully game launches soon so we can confirm either way.

Should launch Thursday but with that drop and already planned teams around higher prices that would be great for us.

That would be pretty sweet, I'm on a spare 39k at the moment... I could do with a bit more cash

Me too, I didn't mention him because he is not a starting backrower, but I will take him because:

He played every game last year.

If Hastings is injured he may well find himself on the bench as a utility

JFH will be a very good buy if the Panthers stick to the spine they finished the season with & start Cartwright in the halves. Although Hook has said TMM has the inside running to partner Cleary in the halves it's not 100% locked because of how well the team played last year with Cartwright in the halves.

Yeah I looked at the Bulldogs cause I was keen on Kasiano & RFM but I don't think Des will change much & I think both will start on the bench & not get enough mins.
Graham, Lichaa, Tolman, Jackson, Eastwood, Klemmer.
Graham, Tolman & Klemmer can play big minutes, Jackson will play 80 mins so that leaves sfa minutes for Kasiano & RFM.

Not sure how accurate Chris Kennedy is but I'm sure he's involved in the site anyway, he has replied to my question regarding this issue on Twitter (all player prices seem incorrect??)and I quote his response "on the test site? Yeah they just need to be indexed up slightly. It's underway."
So I take it they will be bumped up from this
