Don't know what the fascination is with the Warriors making the 8 or being contenders just because they signed a few players to the spine. As long as they only have one good front rower and the back row is unable to bend the line in attack they won't do anything of value. I said it last year and I'll say it again. The Warriors will not make the 8 until they get some decent forwards. Smith, Cronk and Slater were signficantly better than Luke, Johnson and RTS and even they required a strong pack to become contenders

Spot on MS. Why they spent large on RTS & now Foran was stupid when the problems were in the pack. They need another quality prop & backrower.

Aloiai started to show signs of what we desperately need out wider. Thought he was average at best the first half of the season but looking forward to watching him kick on.

    lol!

I'm likely to start with Daifiti who is slightly more expensive and switch to Gurgess if his scores improve.

    And regarding the top 8...
I see no reason why the Eels won't be in there

On second thought... Unless they plan to continue with their Home & Away, Bold & the Beautiful dramas

Eels spine is not much chop though. Norman would have to have a super season (and well i think thats a fair chance of happening)

I'm a little bit salty that they stole RTS when the money could have been way better spent on an impact prop like Klemmer while he was off contract. In reality they probably have a bottom 3 pack in the comp but that is masked because they have some good fantasy scorers. Vete is the only prop with any heart and along with Mannering is the only player in the pack worth keeping. Hoffman lost his pace so his decoy runs on the edge have no effect on the defense. Bodene, while putting up stats good for fantasy(averaged 38 tackles 87 metres last year) offers very little in attack seeming to always land on his back and get a slow play the ball. Although he is much improved from previous years he is way too similar to Mannering and is simply an inferior player. Mannering would stay put as the best one on one tackler in the league and capable of playing 80 minutes and shifting out wide if required, he is the perfect defensive anchor. Matulino and Lillyman, while good in the past have seriously regressed and both command much more money than they are worth. The rest of the time their pack is filled out with fringe first graders(Palavi, Lousi, Lisone, Gubb, Gavet). They had two promising youngsters in RFM and Lane that were let go without a real shot.

@ MS. I always laugh to myself when all these so called media experts talk up the Warriors pack. Matulino has been on the decline for the last 2 years. Lillyman is an old school prop who gives 100% but just provides yardage only. He has no foot work before the line which would allow him to bend the line & get offloads away. I do like Bodene. Hoffman well I don't know why you'd buy a player at the end of his career & he provides nothing. Mannering is excellent. Actually I've always been keen on Matulino going to the 2fr & dropping Hoffman. With his size, footwork & offloading skills I think Matulino would go much better on the edge & I also think he's capable of playing 70+ mins & also it would give him a new lease on life. Then we have the youngsters Gubb, Vete, Lisone, Sipley, Gavet. These guys have plenty of potential but they will never realise it without proper mentoring & development which doesn't happen at the Warriors. I would like this starting pack & bench:
    Lillyman, Luke, Gubb
    B. Thompson, Matulino (when fit-Hoffman until then-rolls eyes)
    Mannering
Roache, Vete (works hard), Lisone (needs to run hard every game), Sipley (I'm a big fan)

As you can see that pack is pretty average. They need 2 more quality forwards (prop,2fr). Only then would I be happy with it.

All I get is the screen that has pre-register for 2017. Do you have to pre register as there's no log on screen.

So it's just opened up and FanHub are already as it again.

Putting the players first name with the initial of their last name. It's these little schoolboy errors that get under my skin
