Side note - how did he not get pulled out of the game after the helmet-helmet hit? Dude was in space. [/quote]

Classic Chargers, always find a way to lose. Winston looks in good form already. Raiders/Saints D looks atrocious again. Good signs in Jax.

What they actually did was Lynch in the 1st and the best DE available in the 2nd.

Don't think our No.1 receiver going down with an ACL tear is finding a way to lose, we killed the chiefs on 3rd down with Allen and were deflated after he got injured

You were up 21-3 at halftime and winning by 17 points in the 4th quarter - shouldnt matter how many knees your WR1 has at that point. You should be able to control possession and run the clock down from that position.

6-6 on 3rd down with Allen 1-8 without him, kid is a monster at moving the chains and opening up for others, you think Pittsburgh can do the same without Brown? Or Falcons with Jones? Seeing your teammate go down and crying getting carted off has a massive effect!

Pittsburgh won comfortably without Bell, who is just as important as Brown is... And Falcons probably could close a game out that they lead by 17 in the 4thQ without Jones, they still have Freeman in the backfield.

You should be able to close a game out from that position without having WRs on the field. 17 points is 3 possessions. Go jumbo set. Take 44sec/snap. Even being half competent you should be able to take 3-4min off the clock before giving the ball back. Do that for your 3 possessions and it only leaves the other team 5-6 min to play 3 long scoring drives.

niners baby! tied for the lead in the division

*getting in before we get pummeled by carolina this week*

being serious tho, it was a good win, we look ok on both lines of scrimmage (o-line very impressive against a strong rams D line)

Our passing game will suck and when we play better teams, it will be to much pressure on our D/running game leading to a few blow outs but we'll stick with some other teams

We looked good week one against the Vikings last year as well. When Hyde gets injured were screwed.

oh make no mistake, we still finish were anywhere from 4-6 wins, we have serious holes but the D is on the up, solid secondary, good rotation up front with promising young players and bowman still controlling everything in the middle, lynch is back week 5 too

the passing game will be a disaster, kerley may lead us in receiving, he was the 5th WR at detroit a few weeks ago lol and we will have to deal with bad QB play all year. we will not win many games because of it but just gotta hope the other areas continue to show reasonably well, hopefully head into next offseason with less needs then we entered last off season

9ers D is pretty legit - the secondary is both solid and young and Bowman elevates his entire position group. I think they have a bit of a lack of pass rush and non-rookie QBs will pick them to pieces. And offence is going to be a struggle.

pretty spot on, pass rush should improve, Lynch is a good pass rusher (and still only 23, so hopefully still growth there) and back week 5, we have spent 2 first in last 2 years on DE, Armstead certainly starting to show what he can do but its certainly something i see us struggling with at points during the year against stronger O-lines.

Our defenses main problem will be time of possession, Philly under chip kelly always came in 32nd, considering our offense is worse then any he had in philly (our QB and receiver group is by far the worst in the league), it will put alot of pressure on our D and that will certainly see them struggle at times. i can still see us getting a few huge scores put on us.

Thats by design though - Chip doesnt run his offence that way by accident. And I wouldnt be so worried about the WR core, Chip's offence works at a college level where you rely on pure athleticism, rather then traditional WR attributes to create chances - 49ers WR are pretty good on that front. RB depth is where I see the 49ers real issue on offence. Hyde isnt a back who will be able to take a bellcow workload, and theres not much behind him.

Annual R-G Colour Blind Bowl today (even tho jets are wearing white this year). Jets D to have a field day (for my fantasy team's sake).

Maybe it's just the fact that I can't tell when they're getting them wrong but the officiating in the NFL seems so good compared to the NRL.

The fortnight 2 seasons ago (maybe 3) when they had the ref strike, the difference was noticeable. NFL refs are pretty sharp - plus the good ones get TNF.

Forte proving to be a big 'dumpling' and crashing over for 3 TD's !!

They have done it, promise so much, wonder if this year will be any different for the Jets.

It wont be. Theyve had 2 cakewalk games so far. Theyll lose 3 of the next 4 (@KC, SEA, @ARI, @PIT).

This may be just because I'm a complete noob in this area @ryno_ but would you really call the Bills a cakewalk? Seems they've had the mockers on the Jets for the past few years including a heartbreaker last year...

Again, it's NFL and I have little to no idea what I'm talking about, just asking for the sake of knowing/discussing.
