Yeah, each year it seems to get tougher - less than 100 points separates 4th and 18th; top 10 bragging rights are still up for grabs!

This league alone is showing how dominant FF are in NRLF this year. So stoked for the forum to be going so well, and hope everyone is set up well to bring it home.

Anyone know what the most top 100 finishes in a single year is?

Last week of byes, going to be an interesting one with a lot of popular mids out but also a heap of trades on offer
Who knows what will happen with Origin and injuries, players backing up too
Will be interesting to see how people tackle it and how deep their bench is

Been a fun comp @easytiger, first time doing this but definitely a highlight

LORD of the BYES - Round 19 Results
================================

The final big bye round of the Lord of the Byes proved another tough round to navigate.
If you managed to pick the right centres and cash-out wings/fullbacks you were more likely to have a great week.

The best round 19 exponent was ytsb with an impressive 780 points.
While Snatchpato managed 756 points despite only fielding 12 this week (with a little help from Zac Lomax).

The Top 20 this week:

With a 116 point lead heading into the final round, can anyone stop Boozecluez from taking the overall title?
ytsb has continued his charge and is now up to 2nd, with precurson, the_great_wobbler and Ando all still in the mix.

The Leaderboard:

The player averages this round were more akin to the Round 13 bye, with those fielding 13 only on average 26 points better off than those fielding 12 (the likely difference being a missing WFB).

LORD of the BYES - Round 19 Results
================================

The major byes are always the best time to make huge ranking gains, and this round proved no differnt.
This time is was Holy Moly who made the most ground, jumping 3390 places with a very solid 744 points.

The Top 20 rank improvers this week:

Pain will take the Rank Improver title, and it looks like Papadontbleach will take second.
The battle for 3rd is close with only a few rank change numbers between SeattleSupersonics and Goodnight Kiwi.

The Rank Improvers Leaderboard:

The relative rank improver leaderboard shows the percentage of teams ahead of each team prior to Round 13, that they have managed to overtake.

ytsb sneaks into the top spot having passed nearly 90% of the teams that were in front of him when we started.

Relative Rank Improvers Leaderboard:

One last tough week with the Dragons, Raiders and Rabbitohs on the bye and no doubt a few popular Origin players being rested too. Best of luck as we await the 2023 Lord of the Byes champion

Another fine effort ET. Might sign up next year I usually have no idea and too many trades left by this time of the season, so shouldn't be too hard to make ground.

LORD of the BYES - Round 20 Results

Back in May we started down the path to reveal who would join Pain and DarkKnight as the champions of the difficult bye rounds.

The last two months have been even more difficult to navigate than anything we'd seen before.
With three major byes, followed closely by three minor byes and Origin restings, we waited to find out who would be the greatest among us.

With this weeks scores ranging between the 800's through to the 16 teams that broke the 1000 mark, there was one last chance to show your fantasy bye-round pedigree.

Here are this weeks top performers; lead by League 1's Fraser




So that leaves us with the minor business of officially announcing the new LORD of the BYES

LORD of the BYES 3 - The Final Leaderboard
======================================

There can be only one, and this guy raised the bar to a standard not yet seen in this competition.
He started Round 13 in first place, a lead he would never surrender, ending the competition 109 points ahead of his nearest rival.

I give you the 2023 Lord of the Byes:

THE FINAL LEADERBOARD:

A new king is crowned - Congratulations Contrasting Hobby/Booze.
Your season has been incredible and we all wish you well in the run home and hope you can add the Overall title to your new undisputed "Lord of the Byes" crown.



Booze won the title with the perfect combination of high player numbers and high average.
He managed an outstanding 5309 points over the major and minor byes, where only a handful scored over 5000 points (the nearest being 5088).

Once again the competition has been exceedingly close with just 64 points separating 5th from 16th.
Congratulations to everyone who made it onto the final leaderboard, and to this years top 10.

A final congratulations to ytsb and Precursor who finished valiantly in 2nd and 3rd place, and to Papadontbleach who was the only seeded (top 10) player from last year to make it back to this years top 10.

More to come tomorrow, including the final Rank Improvement results!

It was so very close
So close that I missed that there were three ties in there, so the table is updated accordingly

I mistakenly left the league code available, so Butters added himself...

There's something to be said about someone who waits to see how they're doing before joining a competition (despite it clearly saying the league closes before the first game or R13).
