It was a fairly tough week for the bye strategists amongst us, with only 23 out of 53 teams making some rank gain - lead by a thousand rank climb from Code Delta.

We also have a new leader in the Rank Improver class with Code Delta also taking over pole position.

Finally, in the relative rank improvement table, Pookus McFly is sitting pretty comfortable - he just needs to gain one more rank to be unbeatable!

Just a quick update.;
Unfortunately myself & the family are currently playing host to Covid.

That means I will still get this done this week, it might just take me a little longer - but results will definitely be posted prior to Thursday lockout. In the meantime the NRL Leagues page should have your current rank in the Overall Lord of the Byes championship!

Lord of the Byes be fucked, when are we doing "Lord of the Pies' or my pet event 'Lord of the Fires'?

Hmmmm, to go all out and run 15 on the park to try and regain my ‘master of the byes’ title…. Or to be a little more sensible for R18….

The Top 20 this week:

Jumping Marlin topped the weekly with a huge 972 points in another difficult week for many.

We now have five LORD of the BYE participants in the top 30 overall: Pookus, DarkKnight, Aardvark Ratnick, Mulvy and Wolfking - amazing stuff!
Will we have the overall number 1 team by the time this comp is finished?




Pookus McFly with a solid 909 points maintains his lead at the top of the LORD of the BYES competition:

It was a week of highs and lows for many, but for Code Delta it was business as usual - climbing another 1k as the top improver for the second week running.

The Top rank improvers this week:

Code Delta has now jumped an impressive 10,000 ranks in just 4 weeks and firming as the favourite for the Rank Improver title.

The relative rank improvement table continues to be dominated by our big 5 and Rhinoceroo in a handy 108th position overall.

LORD of the BYES - Round 17 Results

The Top 20 this week:

In a challenging bye week where the overall top 1000 averaged 443, the Lord of the Byes competitors averaged an impressive 544 points.
Four teams managed to score over 700 points!

TheWeapon showed his Bye-round pedigree with a massive 723 points.
However, arguably the most impressive result in the top 20 was from Rhinoceroo who scored 582 points from just 9 players.




Last years runner-up TheWeapon said at the end of the season: "Looking forward to going one better next season! I want that Lord of the Byes title!"
One year and an incredible 31 bye-round players later and the title is within his grasp.

This weeks Leaderboard saw huge changes and big moves from many of our great forum members.

The Leaderboard:

Watch-out for 6th place though, only 89 points back and keen to go back-to-back.

Will the tricky round 18 decimate teams with restings?
Will Pain add a second title?
Will the unstoppable Mulvy-juggernaut add the Lord of the Byes to his incomparable recent fantasy-CV?
Can DK, Rhinoceroo, Wolfie or Pookus make a final surge for the title?
Or will TheWeapon hold on?

One things for sure, there can only be one LORD of the BYES!
