the story of last night is that chase stanley actually got through 40 minutes


he did a pretty good job too, always looks a good player when on the field, i look forward to his next stint after his most recent injury

Manly played like they hadn't done any training in the off-season. Very early yet, but you wonder why they dropped Toovey for Barrett.

Have Manly taken over the upkeep of Brooky from the council? It looked like an actual footy field last night, I though it might have been a late change of venue at first but there were too many fans there for it to be anywhere else.

You know its a game at Brookvale when you hear that Manly supporter starting the Manly chant. Every year he is there lol.

Im that confident on the Warriors winning 13+ tonight, I am going to put $20 on them.... I never place money on the Warriors

and do forwards really need time to gel ? i get things change but the simplicity of run hard, tackel hard doesn't.

Myles - tried hard but constantly got belted and dropped pretty quickly every time
Tapau - had nothing
Brown - i've always rated brown but he looked like a lost puppy, maybe better suited to the bench utility role

i think the manly backline will be fine, still don't think walker is a pivot but i'm sure they'll work it out. i'm not sure their pack is gonna be as strong as everyone was sprouting about all pre season

i'm pretty confident you'll win, won't take long for mcfadden to feel the heat if you can't beat a tigers team missing a few

Did you see the post by Sashamaloo in the fantasy thread about DCE's ability to play structure? It's only rd1 so not all doom and gloom but other than the Turbo's I saw nothing to excite me about Manly.

That's interesting. I reckon the Tigers are pretty good value and had a little bet at $3.25, backing the Warriors rd1 sounds like a risky proposition especially when they are so short in the market.

Yeah. I probably just shot myself in the foot. Especially with the Warriors history round 1 games + Campbell town. LOL

Thats good value i reckon, best time of the year to play the Warriors is at the beginning.

Quite enjoy watching the Raiders play, they're an exciting side that likes to play a pot of second phase footy and you've got to admire that.

Papalil offload to Austin with a cut out pass puts over a diving Edrick Lee.

Austin making a couple breaks and then it pays off.

Can the NSW selectors please get Blake Austin's shirt measured up. 20 minutes into the season and I'm convinced.

Game of the round so far, some huge injuries though. Seggy will be gone for a while and Austin out when he looked absolutely electric. He will win a Dally M before he's finished.
