The mid ranger heavy teams will have a much easier time getting to Cleary, and won’t be needing to trade keepers to do so

I went with Guns & Cows setup so difficult for me but Autofill team for example could easily get to Cleary in 2 trades

This week traded out Amone for M King
    and
    Lolo out with Gilbert in.
Got $420k sitting in the bank and as soon as Cleary named bringing him via Sexton

Yep, I have gone the mid ranger heavy team and don't have Haas.

Targeting having 2 mid rangers, each in the $600k+ range, totalling $1.29M, to get Cleary and bring in a $220-240k player that appears that round.
    Most likely players are:
    Lolo
    Burton
    Tapine
    Arrow
    Wilton
    Mitchell
All depends on injury, suspension and form on who makes way at the time that he becomes available.

By "I'm okay waiting to get Cleary" I mean I'm waiting approx one week to see his involvement, impact of new rules etc. Not going to be waiting too long if I get him in. If it's too hard, I'll go another gun like McInnes and get Cleary after Origin.

I made a fatal error last week, but good news is I’m in the top 50,000. For me, the sooner I can get Cleary, the better.

I have Haas and I will see how Cleary goes that first week, at very least.

I don't think too much about the future in Fantasy because Haas (or anyone) could get injured this week and undo a plan I'd put a lot of thought and time into, so I don't put thought and time into the future of Fantasy. Within reason, of course.

Something will happen, I am sure, that will make getting Cleary the "right" thing to do, if it is the right thing to do, when it is time. Whether that be injuries, suspensions, HIA, even covid etc. Way too hard for me to try to predict what happens, but I don't want to sit on the sidelines watching Cleary put up massive scores while I don't have him... like I did last year. I know that for sure.

At the moment I have 23K in my bank, though, which I consider quite an issue in my pursuit of Cleary at some stage.

I plan to get him, it might be his second week back before it happens.

I’ll be waiting until he plays one game purely to make sure that it’s not like back end of last season where he is named and doesn’t play for a few weeks
Once he has played one I’ll be trading whoever it takes to get him in, including Haas

Yep, he is the reason I am just sticking with the mids and guns I started with instead of getting in Haas. Think the big 100s he can get and then regular high 80s/90s are worth forgoing Haas for

Won't get him the week is named.

If the low scoring from round 1 continues, it makes it much more likely he'll lose cash than make it, so I will give him a week to see how it goes, and then determine how urgent it is to trade him in from there.

Like most, would wait a week or two to see how things go. Probably drops some cash.

With SJ injured, I have had a thought to trade in Tualagi, instead of a higher priced replacement (eg Sexton), to build a bit of bank for Cleary.

Would rely on Ilias or Coates having a good game (since Schneider is also out this week). Luckily Storm v Rabbitohs is first game.. so will think about it more tomorrow.
