Thursday Pointless Predictions are back (for the first time)

Averillo - won't start at 6 this week
Jackson - reverts to 45s playing 60ish mins in a week or two
schuster - doesnt start, but winds up playing good mins anywa for 35-40 pts
alvaro - keeps being bad at football but keeps scoring 40's
ipap - goes hard and scores 60 with a try and still leaves everyone unsure if its sustainable
egan - under the radar on here, turns out to be the best pick
    SOS - goes "ok"
BS9 - repays the faith tonight
Tino - mid 40s this week.
Jleilua - gets sent off for punching on in nsw cup
croft - for the love of rugby league kevy, drop him. This is not a prediction, this is a plea.
    simonsson - double
hudson - late out, sore knee.
sitili - tries are base stats, scores another this week
    momo - low 20s tonight.
    bird - 50+ this week
riki - another 70+ (no bias here lol) bounce

I reckon Alvaro has shown enough impact to demonstrate he is a better player then the plodder most people predicted.

    Biased owner.

I will be trading out either Lam or Averillo as my 2nd trade this week. But still not sure who will get traded in.

There's a lot of people who scored well last week (or last 2 weeks) but it often involved tries, or other circumstances that make me think their scoring is unsustainable, so I keep talking myself out of everyone.

Might just bring in Niu whilst I still can and get the guns in next week.

What about Merrin 130k cheaper for 5-7pts less. No real threat to JS

Have landed on double cow and think I’m happier with it.

Lam > Schuster - Similar scores for 140k less
NAS > Alvaro - Similar scores for 200k less

Both also have money to make on top of their current prices and BEs are low.
    Leaves 475k for next week

    Good moves?

If this happens, there will literally be 10-15 pages here of trade or reverse trade freakouts from 5-6pm Friday.

    Should be fun.

I think a lot of people being judged primarily on last weeks scores are going to surprise or disappoint. Thinking Milf, JJ, Tino, Brayley(if c), Kenny, maybe even Moylan.

Is it too late to bring in Alvaro? I am a bit spooked with the Fatfita>Dragons rumour

Starting to lean towards Lam to Egan

For the popular forward trade ins (iPap, Jackson, Sitili) I am not sure they are longer term good value.

I already have Fui + Alvaro so don't want to triple up on Dragons with Merrin.

Koloamatangi the other one I might have a look at.

Legit curious what people think Schuster averages as an edge over the next 3-4 weeks?I think late in last thread I read 45 base, which seems optimistic.

Ah man I kinda want to trade Capwell to Schuster for similar scores, ride the Des train and pocket the 200k. Am I crazy?

475k in theory equates to about 35 points of purchasing power or also known as PPP.

Personally, I'd rather have 35 more points on the field than a huge bank.

He got 40 tackles with 1 missed and 55 run metres in basically a full game last week.

Anything even close to that would be great. I just want him to start this week and next

I think the two key facts are. He isn’t averilo, and he is cheap.

Setting my expectations for 35ish average to make 100 odd k in 4 weeks.

Did I mention he is not averilo

I missed both Warriors games, do you know who spelled Egan (45 mins) in Round 1 and was there any reason why he wasn't spelled in Round 2?

Basically wondering if he is likely to be playing 80 (or thereabouts) most weeks, or is he likely to get spelled for Tevaga/Other?

I recall in preseason Brown said they wanted Egan to play 80, but that 45 min stint would get very frustrating very quickly.

I like the Egan and Bird love here. Reckon Egan could be the best bet of the lot. Had Bird all preseason and dropped him last minute to fit in Brandon. Was just looking at nice sideways trade of Simo/Roberts>Bird with my second trade, but I do hate centres.

He made a poor tackle attempt on Granville leading to a try last weekend but he and Merrin made a legitimate difference when they came on the field. The Dragons didn't have much of the early momentum until the interchanges.
