Nah only joking bro. Macca did fill in at lock during the bye period I think.

While we're talking hookers I reckon Hodgson will be the big mover this year. His attacking stats are very impressive (1st I think) & with the Raiders dominating the nrl this year he's going to rip it up.

I would be willing to bet that I drink the least on these forums. The longest Ive gone without an alcoholic drink was over a year, generally Ill only drink on birthdays etc now anyway - didnt touch a drop of alcohol on new years.

Granville is like having a Ferrari in the garage. When he comes off it's like being given a Toyta Yaris as a relacement while the Ferrari is at the mechanics. Sure the Yaris will get you from A to B well enough but **** me, you look like $hit driving it and you will never pick up any decent chicks either..........."

Greeny must see something he likes but fair comparison with the cars because Granville has to be one of the better in that position we've seen for a long time.

I'm sure his workrate is fine, but he just offers little as the first man to touch the ball every play.

Thats not true, I once fucked a chick who drove a Yaris.

Edit- Well I picked her up, that still counts right?...

    Yes mate

way i see it if Griffin plays Merrin like he did Parker then his minutes will go up to around the 65 mark
Doesn't Merrin score very similar when starting prop to lock regardless? If so surely the extra 10 minutes on the park are enough for him to improve his points avg

I honestly can't see him regressing, the only worry is Griffin being the moron he has proved to be many times!

I'm expecting a huge year from Merrin

How about Ligi Sao out with disclocated shoulder (indefinite)? Affect the minutes of Henry, Mannering?

The touchscreen analysis appears on all Super League games now. Before the game, John Wells (who played as a winger for many seasons) goes through a few plays with Brian Carney. After the game, Wells is joined by one of the players.

I agree - it's by far the best feature of the English coverage.

Would be awesome to see something similar in Aus. Would make post match interviews etc a whole lot more interesting that listening to Rabs or Gould dribbling shite.

Agree lads. I was glued to that analysis - especially from Trent Robinson. He has such a great rugby league brain on him. Very impressive/fascinating.

Henry is coming back from injury right? Has he played any trials? Either way I don't see him getting much game time at all even if he does make the bench as Thompson, Hoffman and Mannering can all play 80 mins.

but there was talk Mannering might not play 80 now, could this push his minutes back to 80?

Ok have managed to go from 8 roosters to 7. I can upgrade Copley to CLaw but would have next to no money left over, and I would have to choose between:

    BLawrence + Slater &

    Matagi + Ferguson

Thompson. Now there was a surprise last year with his scores. If he keeps improving the way he has the past couple years he'll be a weapon this year.

Are there any trials this weekend?

By talk do you mean assumptions from people who are trying to rule Mannering out of their Fantasy sides or is there an actual comment from the coach or Mannering himself stating that he won't be playing 80 mins this year (Like Parker has said).

I wouldnt be surprised to see fox do the same this year. I for one will be watching their live broadcast not ch9.

As Milch posted eariler i agree (and think ive posted before) that we should see most non 80min hookers play 55-60 before being replaced for the last 20min.

I see 6 interchanges being taken up by the frontrow/lock changes and changes back and 1 for the hooker and 1 incase of late injury.

The other option is to just play one guy 50-60 minutes, then sub him off and don't sub him back on again.

Depends on the relative quality of your 2 hookers (or other positions, you could do the same for props, back rowers too), and whether you want your start on for the end of the game or not. But I could see Manly for example playing Koro from the start, and then putting Parcell in for the last 20 minutes to run at the tired defence.

Teams like Broncos, Panthers, Roosters(when fit) will probably do a lot of this with not much difference between the starters and the bench
