NRLFF 5% Pod League

POD fun league where you can cheer on players not highly owned and actually enjoy the game



Rules are simple

Only players below 5% ownership can be picked to start round 6.

each subsequent round with trading the ownership % increases by 1% so after Round 6. Player with and ownership % of 6% become eligible after round 7 this becomes 7% and so on until origin, where I will re-asses.

Just trying to set up a team now... holy shit, I had no idea I'd be dealing with so many options, and some decent ones too. How on balls' earth am I going to filter this lot down into a team? Might take a bit longer than I anticipated...

Without looking I just assume I'm able to pick most of the raiders squad.

Joined as (A) Pod in the Team is worth 2 on the Bench. Will try and find time to yolo together a team tomorrow.

Really stupid question but I just want to make sure I'm looking at the right stuff and I don't go through the whole thing and make a mess of this. Can I just confirm -

First ineligible player - Cody Walker
First Eligible player - LAM

So everyone down from LAM, if list is filtered on SELECTED BY % (TS%) I can put in this team?

Signed up and made a first draft, I quite like it. My EMG are shit but would rather pump the money into the 17. Trades are plentiful so no issue if someone flops.

I like the starting side I made last night but i'm tinkering now and going another direction after seeing a few fliers

Some real quality selections are going to have to be bypassed here. What an eye opening experience.

Done the same thing. Although if percentages are from end of last lockout then eg Verills will still probably be under 5% the week he's first picked. Saves trading him in though.

Okay, team sorted and in the league. I was thinking I'd have to be picking from a pool of muppets, but I think I had a squad that will outscore my real team with ease this weekend. So hard to figure out which guns to leave out. Hope I made the right decisions. Looking forward to browsing everyone else's teams at the end of the road to see how everyone approached it.

That took a bit more effort than I expected...
I ended up picking Haas & Grant to start and filled it up starting with PODs in the 0-300k, then 300k-400k, etc
Some positions didn't have much to offer, other positions had plenty
