Didnt Cam Smith start last year with some average scores? Leaning towards not running with Smith and (c) someone like Gallen / Fifita / Parker / Mannering

I just cannot start a season without him, plus the headache and trades to get him in required if he does start with a bang.

Each to their own I suppose. I was thinking of possibly running with Segeyaro and J Friend if neither has a backup named on the bench.

At this stage I have Peats and Smith slotted in.

@Random. I really like your team & the concept of running with a 2nd hooker being a cc. I would rather have Parker over Fifita though but that's just personal preference. Also Id prefer Smith over Sege but again that's just my opinion.
@Milchy. That's interesting re K. Sims. I actually really like the forward options with Snowden, K. Sims, Rochow & Tapine.

I just tried to join this league but the code or typing the league name in doesn't seem to work? Am I missing something?

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 3
I realise Segeyaro is a bit of a forum favourite around here but in the past when I've had him in my team he's bugged the hell out of me. He is not really a hooker that will go out & make 40+ tackles but instead relies on big scoring attacking plays. When he does try & make a big hit in defense he usually gets hurt. This is just my personal preference as I prefer hookers that get stuck in defensively like Peats & Macca. In saying that Segeyaro is still an excellent pick & will score plenty of points but I prefer Peats over Sege any day.

That is the right code bro but sometimes you have to try a couple of times I've found. Just keep persevering.

In fairness he did avg 37 tackles a game last year, so he is pretty active in that regard and his attacking stats should be looked at like base stats with Seggy because he is that active with tackle busts and offloads

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 3
I think I have settled on this until after trials and team lists:
Smith, Seg
Surgess, Graham, nuff, nuff
Parker, Rochow, JDB, Edwards, nuff, nuff
DCE, Hastings, Taylor, nuff
Copley, Auva'a, Gutherson, MCK
Ted, Mansour, Gordon, nuff, nuff
38K left. Lack of depth outside the 13 at the moment can be fixed by down grading Smith - Peats or Ted to Slater/Mann or something. Hoping to get some cheapies named so I do not have to.
JDB will probably become whoever gets lock at the dragons.
Not really comfortable with my centres but hopefully two of them can average 30-35.

Just got to go Granville as your second half if he gets 80min. I read an article recently that stated it was one of his desires to develop into this style of player. At 100K less than the forum favs of Peats and Seggy he would walk into my team. An extra 100K does wonders to your team.

Can't see him becoming that 80 minute player he mentioned until at least mid season and he doesn't score highly enough for me unless he is scoring a try

Very tempted to be contrary and go SJ ahead of DCE. Do we think playing with RTS is going to give him more room and improve SJ's attacking stats, or will it take points away from him?

Agree 100%. If there is no hooker named on the bench I suspect he'll be in plenty of teams. However I think Kostjasyn will be on the bench & Granville will get 60-65 minutes.

Totally agree he is at a very attractive price and may get him in yet.

Johnson will always get his points, Can't see his avg straying from what it already is with or without RTS. Personally i couldn't run SJ without somone like a DCE next to him, he is too volitile in his scoring
I think DCE is the must have GUN half to start the season, his potential without Foran is big and he is probably the safest half to have other than Ben Hunt

Yeah Granville could be good. Would definitely give me enough cash for 2 decent bench players.
