If he wasn't playing origin I would likely set and forget him for solid base scores knowing that he's surely going to score a few tries this season. Origin makes it harder to consider keeping him vs players like JT and Smith.

Yeah, at least a couple of meaties would help. If I can keep him next week I probably will.

4 trades at least brings you up to 15. I have probably similar numbers out as well.

    Round 9

    Canberra 30 (A. Purtell 2, C. Frawley, L. Withers, S. Woolford tries; C. Schifcofske 5 goals) defeated Parramatta 10 (G. Morrison, M. Petersen tries; B. Delaney goal)

    Who still has Purtell?

Schifcofske doesn't back up his big score

    Won't even mention Alan Tongue

    Newcastle 32 (B. Carney 2, R. Brown, T. Lowrie, D. Seage, S. Simpson tries; A. Johns 4 goals) defeated Brisbane 30 (T. Tupou 2, D. Boyd, G. Eastwood, D. Lockyer tries; C. Parker 5 goals)

Surprised the Knight's fan whose videos I've been stealing didn't have this game uploaded
Highlights are on this round's summary video and it looked a good game

doubles to Tupou and Carney with several coaches having both to give them a good start to the weekend

Parker, Kidley, Simpson, Lockyer all scoring well too

    Wests Tigers 24 (D. Collis, D. Fitzhenry, T. Payten, S. Prince tries; B. Hodgson 4 goals) defeated Manly Warringah 18 (S. Bell, S. Menzies, M. Monaghan, P. Stephenson tries; M. Orford goal)

Who wanted Menzies tries? Finally delivers with a MOTM performance

Collis, Fitzhenry, Farah, Whatuira Bell also give good scores

    Last game for tonight

    Melbourne 38 (M. Crocker, M. Geyer, G. Inglis, C. Smith, J. Smith, C. Walker tries; C. Smith 7 goals) defeated South Sydney 14 (D. Fa'alogo, L. MacDougall, N. Merritt tries; N. Merritt goal)

    Cam Smith continues to deliver

So does Inglis - who MS is threatening to trade out

Michel Greenfield can give a good score too

    R8 H2H:

Ouch. This was a bit of a bummer on an otherwise good day. First time I scored over 700 and scored up in the top half of the group too. Still got beaten in H2H though. Sad

It's been a hard slug but hopefully this is the start of some kind of ascent... I hope. Maybe I can finish 4th last instead of 3rd last?

Got really lucky with quite a few double try scorers this week, though, so that's not going to happen often. Just don't know what to do with guys like Daz Albert. He was on my chopping list this week until I realised I needed more money to try and bring in at least one gun so dropped a couple of higher priced non-playing duds instead.

Now that Daz has put in a big score it probably makes him easier to punt when his price starts to drop, what to do? Do I just hold him and rely on these random big scores? So few backs seem any more reliable. Not much point punting him for someone who will be exactly the same. Unles the new one has a lower BE, I guess, but in this format... is someone like Daz Albert even a potential keeper? Another fine example, Hazem. I was again really close to dropping him too. Not any time soon now.

Who knows? I've placed the backs as last choice in terms of putting fires out and will keep it that way because they can go big so easy... as well as drop a single digit. Just so hard to guess when the next big score will be, if at all.

Stapleton put together two nice scores for price rises. Nice. Wish he was in my 17, though.

I held onto Gordon for 8 weeks for that? Fuck. Again, though, he probably scores 80 tonight/tomorrow. Who knows with these ball slappers? Steve Turner too. Pretty average score even with a try, but I guess you just hold? Who knows.

As for Todd Carney, with 8 of my team playing Origin I'm not even sure I'll get around to punting him yet. Will see.

    Gotta get Parker in somehow.

Kennedy for 10 points! Should put a dent in his price! Must've been an injury. :/

Glad I punted Carney and Tim Smith this round but yeah, for that from Gordon? He's straight in the shit heap with Turner and Boyd. Great.

Adrian Purtell. Really? I am an owner and I will gladly (finally) accept those price rises, but sadly, based on his scoring so far, he was well outside my scoring 17. Sad
