Got a tough captaincy decision this week, got it wrong last week with a 44 from smith.

    These are my options:

    Smith
    Pros:
    Decent average of 58.9
He's the fantasy king, and has been doing since Fantasy was created (Hasn't averaged below 59 at all in his career)
    He's a fairly safe option

    Cons:
    Coming off an underwhelming 44
Lowish floor with 2 scores in the 40's this year
Averaging 54.4 base points a week

    Haas
    Pros:
    Outstanding average of 64
Averaging 60.67 base points a week
Hasn't scored below 50 in his career
Is looking to force his way into origin so will have even more motivation
Hasn't got many attacking stats so far, so when they do arrive he will go bezerk (like last game against . the chooks)

    Cons:
He has played 6 games so it's a very small sample size
He may be due for a bad game

    Taumalalo
    Pros:
He's a beast and can run through an entire opposition at any given point
Take out his injury game, he is averaging 64.25
Average of 57.5 base points per game.
He has a high floor, hasn't scored below 50 apart from the injury game
    He's a proven gun

    Cons:
He played 80 minutes last game, which he isn't going to do every week especially with McGuire returning
Say he got his usual 60 minutes last week against parramtta, his score would've been 57 - dropping his average down to 59.5 (which is still good)
His average base points per game also would've dropped to 52.75 (pretty poor compared Haas)

    Ponga
    Pros:
In his 7 games at fullback this year he is averaging 63 points
In his time at fullback, he hasn't scored below 50
He also has a very high floor, shown by last weeks 87
He's a superstar of the game and is bloody hard to contain as a defender

    Cons:
He plays fullback which is one of the most inconsistent positions in Fantasy
He relies on attacking stats rather than base stats like the previous 3 players, especially Haas.
He is due for a bad game soon
In all his games at fullback last year, he only averaged around 53 (which isn't captaincy worthy)

Who would be the best option out of these 4??

Paul Fucking McGregor. Fuck’s sake. I brought McInnes in last week as a set and forget captain option until I can acquire Cook, and was pretty happy with myself. Now the ball devourer names a hooker on the bench.

So what is the general consensus? You guys reckon McInnes plays 60min, or does he go to lock for a stint?

On one hand I was happy to see the Lomax news, but he’s royally fucked me with this one.

    Paul, Fucking, McGregor.

Oh! For some reason I thought his middle name was Mary.

I'd probably be picking Haas out of those. Ponga would have been a high consideration with a better fixture

I'm in support of Captaining Haas if you don't have someone like Cook.

Haas is probably going to have a dud game eventually. Surely a teenage prop is going to have a bludger of a game soon enough but in the meantime he's going great and he's in Blues contention. Not a risky prospect this week I think.

If Mann isn't named at 6 in final team-lists, is it worth trading Xerri to Arthars or Cust if it is absolutely the only way I can get Taumalolo into my team for Flanagan next week?

Like how much of a must have is Lolo for Round 12? The rest of my team are keepers, people I'm holding for Round 12 or not worth enough money.

Don't forget you get extra trades next week if you need to double downgrade

    Edit: corrected

I'd say he's the standout captain option against a weakened Titans pack in R12 (no Arrow and likely no Wallace for Origin and obviously no James). You could just about afford Sivo to Lolo after getting Lomax right??. Bit of risk as Eels have Panthers this week who are absolutely shit-tier and then a weakened Rabbitohs team next week but without tearing your team that's probably your best option

I'll be banking trades this week and waiting for origin team lists. That will make a grand total of 3 saved for the year

Extra 2 trades, it's 4 trades in R12, R14 and R16 according to the rules section

Someone please stop me from burning those 12 trades, please and thank you

For what it's worth, here's what the right centre playing against the Dragons have scored in the last 3 rounds 34, 25 and 21.

For the Sharks, fullbacks have scored 57, 28 and 38 in their last 3 matches.

Stats can mean nothing as it comes down to the individual player on the day but it might be something worth considering.

Yep four trades next week. I'm likely holding this week.
