    Yeah I guess that's a fair point.

I was just thinking most teams would have had a similar base. Yet some are top 1000 and I'm lucky to be top 10,000.

I was honoured to be L1 captain but now im hoping for a coup

Timing of trades would have a bit to do with it.

But after 8 Rounds I think things are a bit closer than normal between ranks. The top few didn't have a big lead and it was still less than 200 points separating the top couple of thousand I think.

With ball strips occurring more often now with the law change (previously if there were 2 in the tackle & 1 defender falls off then you couldn't strip the ball because even though the defender fell off he was still involved in the tackle) maybe they should consider this as a new scoring category.

The secret to my success this season was getting rid of Holland, Macca, Gillett and Edwards early.
Picking up the cows I missed asap ie Bateman, Lawrie (these were my first trade-ins).
Starting with Fifita, Murray, Arrow, Munster, Capewell, Nikora, Mahoney, Burr, Garner and CNK
And missing all the injuries in the early rounds. player like Tlolo, Turbo, SJ, DCE, etc

I've been hit by the Bateman and Fifita injuries, but so has just about everyone else

I'm surprised at how I started but I feel like there's a chance I tail off now because of poor moneymaking (sold Sivo to afford Ponga and then he explodes again, haven't had Burr at any stage) but I think patience has helped me a bit with players like Mahoney, Tolman (at times) and starting with Cook and captaining every week (bar last week Crying or Very sad) has helped

There is so little difference between teams. I am sure it hasn't been like this this early in the season in previous years or maybe I am just coming up against better opponents In one of my H2Hs we have 2 unique players, in most games it is 3-5 probably. I am probably going to lose this weeks game because my opponent has Matterson and I had Arrow. The other difference is my Bird to his Capewell and different captains. It is tough to lose games one 1-2 players scores.

Depends what you want out of him mate.

He was seen as a sneaky cheap POD at the start of the year. Problem is as he wasn't base price so he was played in most 17's I'd say, and his scores were not good enough for that. We all tend to have that one fail.

He isn't going to make you more than 100k you wouldn't think. But he is great DPP wise when most of our cover seems to be Hookers and Halves and Centres and WFB's at the moment. Also boosts Round 12 numbers.

Just his scoring is so variable. But he might be a decent 17th man for the next month. You'd just have to hope he hits the 45/50 not those 25/30's.

There were rumors of Young being a late out this week. Any more news on this?

Looks like Turpin will start over Seggy for the time being according to Locky.

I was thinking the same when watching the Broncos-Manly game last night.

I captained Leilua once against the Knights the year they won one game all season. He scored like 30. Against the Storm a few weeks later, he scored a double.

I am reluctant to play people on account of "Look who they're up against, you beauty"

Didn't get him in, went Dearden instead. Good news for those that did bring him in though. Wonder how the minutes will breakdown between them

Churg was trying to reverse his Turpin trade but I think he couldn't in the end so he should be happy. I thought the Broncos played much better with Turpin instead of Macca.

Mate your spot on. There's many examples similar to yours but people are still concerned about opponents, continue to ignore those posts

I expect Seggy to get 30, you'd think anyway. If Turpin is getting 50 minutes he will prob average mid 30s.

I agree 100% I forgot what fast service looked like. Its hard to say as well because I am a massive fan of Macca but seeing the difference in service was pretty eye opening

Yea mate stoked with his Turps score, should hopefully get 50-60 minutes with Seggy on the bench.

Very fine line with a lot of decisions, and each week Any small change/decision can add to the gap. Even if it's say 400 points, it feels oh so far when there is not many opportunities to gain ground so easily.

2GB news just confirmed Bird has ruptured his ACL. Poor bugger, he was doing so well too, hope he has an uncomplicated and speedy recovery
