Yeah fair call. I often hedge my bets when it comes to fantasy and sports betting and my own team is involved because I don't want to be doubly burnt but the planets are aligning.

Wavering hand steadied, Balls hopefully dropping. Is 28 late for that guys?

Nah fuck it, I'm still going for it mate.  Where I'm ranked, fuck it.  I never take risks like this either but it's never gotten me any better than top 500 in the end so why not.

I am actually tempted to take a risk on Murray. He should be able to exploit a lot of holes in the Dogs defence with the lines he runs. My left field captain pick this week is between Murray, Nikora and Arrow.
    Murray as explained above.
Nikora as most of the attack will be going down that edge for the sharks and he should be getting through a number of defence as the panthers attack seems to go through the edges.
Arrow because the team will need to count on him and James to step up this week in a much needed win against the Knights in what should be a close game and Arrow should see an equal amount of attacking opportunities and defensive load as most knights attack goes through the middle.

I think i am sold on Nikora. Although just not confident on what his ceiling could be. Would want 70+ (which he hasn't hit) if i were to Captain him as Cook should be a set and forget 60. Doubt he can get there without a try.

Tossing up between letting Morgan go and playing CHT in my halves in order to bring in Twal, or holding Morgan and bringing in Sutton. I feel like Twal is more important than Morgan (don't see Morgo in my final 17).

    Upvote - D Brown/Rava and M Morgan for A Twal and P Haas

    Downvote - D Brown/Rava and J Host for R Sutton and P Haas.

    Thanks guys.

    Sweet. Comfort in numbers

I'm just outside the top 500 but as a rookie I don't have a certain rank in mind that i'm aiming for so the Carty Party Ponga Party will at least be a fun ride

I'll help start it.  Via fox

: Andrew Fifita is “a pretty good chance” of overcoming bone bruising in his knee, according to coach John Morris. Fifita hasn’t trained all week but will undergo a fitness test on Thursday morning and Morris admits the prop may need to be managed throughout the game.

To be honest, although Twal is killing it his minutes are a little over the shop. 49, 54, 66, 53, 68. It appears the 66 and 68 were inflated by injury. Without those two his average minutes is 52 and score 51. Now I don't want to put you off Twal as I would love him in my team but are you buying him expecting him to play 65+ minutes and get 60 points a game when for all we know he could be more of a 50-55 minutes prop making 50-55 points a game, which is still a top 17 player might i add.

Don't follow me mate if you're guts going a different way.  With your ranking I would probably look at being more conservative and safe.  Depends what kind of risk taker you are.  Unless he gets injured, you won't lose a great deal of points compared to other captains.  Unless the Knights get rolled by 50 and Ponga gets zero opportunity to do anything.

Even if there isn't they'll probably be 20 people saying Fifita is in even though 19 people before have said it (myself probably included)

With John Morris being a new coach he actually opens up to the media a bit in comparison to veteran coaches, and he's said he should be right to go but you never know - definitely being keeping an eye on updated team list

I just feel like he is a much more reliable option than Morgan, but in saying that I'd then be replacing him with CHT who could be essentially the same thing. Morgo is my only ticket to Twal at the moment. The other option is Ryan James but I think I prefer Twal over him.

Yes this true but without that shit score in RD 2 Morgo's average is 49.75 and the Cowboys surely have to improve their attack sooner or later. Morgo should peak somewhere around 700K and plays RD 12. I will be looking at players like Twal around RD 16.

Surely he's a high likelihood to be in Origin and then miss R12 whether that be at CTR or 14 for QLD. If not and the spine is Ponga, Munster, DCE, Friend and Hunt 14 and then someone else at CTR I'm bloody cheering, extra number for R12 that I've ruled out
