"[Papali'i] trained all pre-season in the middle but he's lucky that he can also fill in a role on the edge, so he will fit in where we think it's best going to suit the team," Kearney said.

Interesting statement here in the lead-up to game 2

Being up against graham, burns, walker and sutton definitely beats him being on the gagai, inglis, ARey, Surgess side

Which brings me to my ? for the moment...

Play Kahu, Rav or use the $ leftover from holland to lawrie to sure up my WFB and upgrade kahu to CNK (has the storm at home)?

If we say trades are worth roughly 150K, can we see CNK making it to 550? I haven't seen enough of him yet

How do FBs typically do against the storm?

Good for Burr owners prospects. These are the calls where a bit of luck is needed at times

Burr really made a statement I guess. Let that be a message to the rest of the NRL. Never drink and drive. Might get suspended and lose your spot

Also means Papali'i could drop a bit and be a good/better pick when he looks like getting big minutes again

Along with teddy and beef, there could be some cut price talent around in a month

I think Bennett will get the best out of him, keep him disciplined, plus running off Arey all day long.

Looks nice next to Fifi in the FRF.  Similar coin to the likes of Bateman .

I was tempted by him in pre-season but ended up going without. He does look OK, but had a try to boost his score last week (admittedly it was pretty much just the try, and no TBs, LB etc to go with it). I'll be keeping en eye on him over the next couple weeks

Definitely still a likely option but the words of kearney only strengthen the chances of more minutes for burr and more "punishment" lil Papi

I still think Papali plays an edge and Blair moves back into the middle. I still had Burr in my team from
the start as I see him playing similar minutes wether he starts or comes off the bench. 2 x ISP player of the year before he went to ESL so must have a bit of ability

Yeah. It probably would have been a different conversation if the Warriors had lost their first game. But for the moment they are top of the ladder (enjoy it while it lasts warrior fans)

Surgess seems like that player that can wait. Not going to score so many points to kick your team up a notch, and will always be affordable. Not worth a trade unless your replacing someone who is injured or cashing in on a cow.

I've got Burr in my EMG purely as a cashcow, if he keeps scoring +/- 40 points I'll be happy

He needed a try and a try assist to hit 54 this week.

If Js is short for jugs - Lawrie has the better set of man boobs.
If it's job security, I'd say Host

Seriously looking at captaining Taupau this week. He has to play 60-65 minutes with no props on the bench and the other starting prop played 8 minutes last week.

He had 3 games over 60 minutes last season for 104, 63 and 51, average 73. Would obviously be looking for the immense 104 game to come up this round in adversity.

    Weighing into the decision:
    - Cook is likely playing in the wet this week
    - Taupau's game should be played in the dry, lots of offloads
    - If Manly are to have any chance of not being thrashed in this game, he needs to be the one to step up
    - Those at the top typically don't have Taupau, so a huge performance would allow a great chance to catch up

From the few posts I've read on league unlimited and nrlsctalk, dragons fans think host was the winner of the two with Sims due back. Not sure if that helps you or not..

Don't worry about the people at the top, it's been one week. Make the trades and set the team that you think will score best or you'll end up making silly decisions.
I think it was Rabs last week talking about a couple of years ago when he scored 650 in round one then 900 odd in round two without making a change to his team.
I'm not saying don't change your team just that basing your decisions around what others are doing isn't the way the do it.

The 104 was 15 TB's against the Knights, so that wont be happening against the Roosters. The other 2 scores have no stand out stats compared to sub 60 minute games.
