Bird doesn't make the 17 though, right?

Nikora, Capewell, Bateman all get in the 13 in front of him at least? If you have at least two of them.

No he wouldn't but can make me $200,000 with 35s. Burn also in could allow Sivo/Rava to sit on bench and hopefully make some money

So whether he's a POD or not doesn't count.

Is that worth getting him in over Bird?

I didn't even think about this! Genius.

I really hope you guys find time for a podcast this week, I think there are already so many good topics and it's not even TLT

I’m free most of my evenings this week so no doubt will get around to it with @Random

If we can get some questions for the mailbag off the forum, hopefully something slightly off from the general trade talk we’ve had as all that will come up regardless I’d have thought! GM had some great segment ideas in the podcast thread so we have so much to discuss this week, sure something will be sorted mate

I know we are prone to overreact based on 1 score but based on the past week who are the must haves? I think its really only the list below and I'm probably being generous. Anyone else see any must haves that are worth making big changes?

I certainly think there are others worth having but I probably wouldn't wreck my team to get in any of Gillett, RTS, Moylan, Lane, Tolman, Capewell, Friend, Garner, Host, Lawrie, Keighran, Brown etc. That's just chasing points and it comes with many regrets. By all means cut players if the reason you made the choice is busted (aka can't see the minutes, didn't get the right role, injury) but avoid trading to make small upgrades based on one heavily weather affected week.

    HOK
None - Some big scores but there won't be a try every week. I fell like all played within expectations. None of them scream buy now for massive value.

    FRF
Fifita - probably a stretch but he looks the goods.

    2RF
Murray - hopefully everyone has him

    HLF
Morgan - base is too high if he takes control like that every week

    CTR
Bateman - a lock at CTR that passed the eye test.
Nikora - Wont hit 60s but will be a consistently high scorer in a typically variable position

    WFB
Burns - The story of moving the team to accommodate him and his play has me convinced
CNK - Probably the weakest claim to a must have but if you are playing WFB roulette he's going to be a good option

So many options after week 1. The potential cows that I’m missing are Lawrie, Bird and Burns. The underpriced middies that I’m missing are Bateman, Gillett and Niukore. I feel the middies are the better options to chase at the moment.

Only ways I can get Bateman in seem to involve trading out Arrow.

Is it too sideways and reactive to trade Arrow and Holland to Bateman and Gillett?

Could do Edwards and Holland to Bateman and Bird with a bit of shuffling the bench (means Ravalawa enters my 13).

    Thoughts?

Liking my team ATM good mix of points and cash cows just feels wrong having 4 centres in my starting 17 and 3 dragons at 18-21

    Macca
    Fifita taupau
    Arrow Murray gillett
    Morgan brown
    Bateman Holland
    Bmoz cnk burns

    Keigrham Garner capewell nikora

    Host lawrie rava sivo

313k itb to upgrade Holland if he fails

Any trade involving Arrow I would not advise

The Brown injury may be a blessing in disguise. Forces a trade to Bateman and I can put Burns back to FB. I’ll bring Garner into the starting 13. Leaves me with $232k for next week. I could go James > Fifita as well, leaving $100k, but I really think he needs one more week. Surely, 25 is his outlier and whatever Brennan did with the forwards last week clearly didn’t work. Dunno.
