    What a shitheap.

Dugan, Soliola and Bird might not be available at this position.

Idris, Tuimavave and Neilsen won't be in the NRL.

Depending upon who gets the spot between Kahu / Copley I will most likely fit one of them into my side.

It's normally the worst position for me, I miss GI, Dugan and Gordon being dpp. It's possible someone like Bird or Soliola shows up like last year but I won't be holding my breath.

    Moneyball stat

Dane Gagai (again haha), when chosen at Centre 1 (on NRL Stats, anyone tell me if this is left or right?) averages 9 points more then when selected at Centre 2. A significant amount in MB.

Jordan Kahu played 2 games at Centre 1 and never scored above 14 points, he played centre 2 4 times with a low score of 25 and a high of 36.

Going to hope we get some good cheapies in the opening rounds. Being able to rely on the likes of Soliola, Kata, Bird, Aitken really helped for balancing the cash out to the other positions

If not that then hopefully we get a few cheapies in other positions to justify getting a premium centre or 2.

After a relatively lean year in 2015 I'm hoping that we get a few good rookie halves to choose from next year.

if o'neil keeps his end of season form up (and should be a dual option) he could be a decent mid range option. Had someone told me i was saying this after round 1 last year when i wanted him tied up and dragged behind the team bus down flinders st i would have told you to lay off the drugs.

Always one rookie that pops up in a backline, never fear

Spent a lot of misspent youth in Flinders Street, sometimes also naked.

Is the Cri still the best pub nowadays or not?

I seem to remember a decent cheap half most years.

Hastings is a given for everyone next season.

There are a few like Ash Taylor, Parcell that a lot of people will be pinning a lot of hopes on.
but most pre-season rookie hopefuls amount to nothing, so no point getting excited about anything just yet.

What $ did Lafai end up on last year? Anything around $200,000 and he will be straight into my side

As a very general rule I try to avoid picking centres who actually play in the centres. It's just too easy for them to go missing in games, at least you know a winger will get a few opportunities with kick returns.

    Agreed.

No need to see his name mentioned until the first TLT.

as do I mate normally but Lafai was huge the year prior and played through some injuries which obviously affected him, he is a tackle breaking machine and scores a fair few so depending on price if he is in the mid - low tier price range he will be straight in my team! Chance whitehead may get dual if he does watch out because he will be another Soliola in fantasy, guy is class

Croker always seems priced too high for little extra potential IMO

Mid price centres seem like a trap every season.
