Don't think I like the number of WFB guns you are loading up on there. You already have Ponga, Tedesco and Mbye and you want to add Walker and Tommy Turbo to have 5 guys that ideally play as WFBs (realise the duals on Mbye and Walker are useful though).

I'd rather you look to pickup Lamb and another 2RF/HLF gun. I'd be suggesting Reynolds, Matterson or any of the guys you listed (whatever order you like). You still have to play Jennings but you are avoiding a mega WFB stack.

Cheers mate, I’ll have another look :-)

Also Graham if fit and maybe Vaughn on the bench?

Also, BUMP is ARey worth getting as a second half or better off holding until Cleary/SJ?

    1. Just do it. Crichton at 54 avg is a 15 point upgrade over you 40 avg guys and Aitken is a 15 point upgrade at a 42 avg over Isaako (30ish). Crichton plays 13 and avoid CTRs until you absolutely have to.

    2. Cleary and even SJ will get cheaper once they both come back from injury. ARey is the right "right now" option in my eyes for a keeper half. How many weeks of underscoring ARey with (Lamb, Brimson etc.) is worth holding out for a slight upgrade to Cleary/SJ. Depends on your squad. Only teams that have DCE and Matterson could reasonably wait in my eyes and I'm bringing in Reynolds over DCE this week and probably would do over Matterson (already have him).

I read an article today that Fifita is still eligible for games 1 and 3 because the Tongan test is the day before game 2 but under some sort of rules and regulations he is still eligible but I doubt they pick him now

I thought in order to play origin you had to declare your intention to play for Australia but Fifita has said he will play for Tonga.

Anyone tempted in captaining Matterson against a severely understrengrh Brisbane forward pack?

Can someone offer any insight to Crichtons scores? a bottom of 35 and top of 90 odd, its not like he Is the worst option. But his big score came in a round where they were full strength, and his bottom score came In a game where only Surgess was out of the pack.

Played 80 mins in all games bar one (70 odd).

    Has his role changed?

Doesn't seem that appealing to me.

It's always iffy picking a 2fr as captain because if the flow of the game is on the opposite side of the field your captain is unlikely to go big.

    Trades Done.

    Maloney -> ARey
    Cogger -> Lamb

Sucks to have to make the 2nd trade and getting that wrong but missing the cash for my final 17 and he made the most sense to let go of. Leaves me with:

    Cook
    Fifita, Arrow
    RFM, JTurbo, JFH
    ARey, Matterson
    Capewell, Isaako
    TTurbo, Ponga, Tedesco

    Martin, Murray, Kikau, Lamb
    Smith, Gosie, Rein, Holmes

Hopefully grab some good centres soon Smile Although I'm more likely to load up on halves with DCE and Cleary .............
Giving Murray a week (pending fires next week) to see if he may regain the minutes he needs to be fantasy relevant. Next on the chopping block are RFM, JFH, Murray, Rein, Isaako, Capewell............ Rd 13 with 4 trades will help that logjam free up hopefully.

Good point. Cook will probably run rings around the cows. I think Matterson scores a double against the donkeys. Hmm.

How does my team look guys?
    JMK to Brimson
    RFM to ARey

    16 trades 198k bank

    Cook
    Fifita TPJ
    Tolo Murray Kikau
    DCE ARey
    Mitchell Isaako
    Tedesco Ponga Mbye

    Matterson
    JFH
    Sua
    Martin

    Smith
    Lane
    Brimson
    Gosiewski

Will be keeping an eye on Murray and Kikau's minutes from the bench and whether they are worthwhile holding otherwise I can bring in Crichton/Surgess etc. Wont be in a rush to do any more trades though as I think all my cows will be steadily building cash over the next few weeks before I decide my next move. Any other suggestions?

It all depends on what sort of player you are:
    (a) conservative = captain Cook or
    (b) risk taker = captain Matterson

If your gut is telling you to captain Matterson I'd say do it. Good luck mate.

I can't argue with those trades but I notice you have no ctr cover so I'd look to address that soon because you don't want to have to be playing Isaako every game. Nice squad mate.

Now I'm tossing up reversing my Rein ---> Lolo trade and considering both Cogger ---> Lamb and Rein ---> Crichton.

    Pros and Cons:

1 & 3. Gives me a permanent keeper + probably 40 extra points this round and a round 13 player
Carrying an ankle injury. Leaves me with 17 if RFM is fit. Crichton saves me $100k over Lolo for a similar average

    2. Gives me 18 players if RFM is fit. Lamb hopefully earns some cash.
Points of Lamb + Rein probably going to be lower than Taumalolo or Crichton
Will still need to trade Rein out next week

    Thoughts?

The only difference with SJ this year is that he got his season ending injury early in the season instead of later haha. I know he must be devastated but he's now reaching the heights of being classified as injury prone & A-Rey will probably play more games than SJ. So is it time to give SJ an apt nickname like glass groin.

Roosters attack will most likely go to their left all night, Niko has been rubbish in defense and keary/cordner/mitchell are likely to have a field day down that side.
