At worst in the pre-game there will be some word of where Murray is at.

I don't think we'll have anything concrete prior to that. Best to have a plan for <2 weeks and a plan for the upper end at 4 weeks.

For me its easy as I don't have the cash even with Murray to grab a guy I'd like (2 trades freeing up some cash). Both trade plans are the same and if the news is bad (3 more weeks injured or more) then next week I'll probably have the war chest to bring in SJ (BE:65) for Murray.

At the moment we know he is out for one week. Anything more is speculation based on his injury from preseason and a guesstimate based on the condition he allegedly has. Guy plays the first game of the round so its an easy wait and see. Note: we won't get a detailed rehab plan but wording should be easy enough to read between the lines.

Siebold: He was close to making it this week but pulled up a bit sore so he's out as a precautionary measure for this week. (Good Bad news)

    or

Siebold: He's pulled up on the same hammy that hurt him in preseason. He's been great in the middle for us the last few weeks and we're gonna need some big performances from a few guys while he works on getting that back to 100%. (Bad Bad news)

Probably not a great idea to rely on Fanhub in the final minutes but reckon its the best you can do.

Edit: Missed the 21 to 19 cut cause I honestly forgot it existed.............. Also we may not get much as he was an early cut and isn't quite the household name yet but should be enough there I hope

    Option 1: Murray & Lodge > JFH & Munster

    Option 2 Murray & Whitehead > Gallen & Brooks

    Revised 17 for this week

    Smith
    Fifita Kikau
    Jurbo Arrow RFM
    DCE SJ
    Mitchell Isaaaako
    Tedesco Ponga Thompson

    Cook Griffin Lodge Nicholllllls

Gut tells me to trade Murray. Hammy always a worry. Welcome aboard Mr Fifita. Nice to have a little bit of money left over (for a change!). I'd rather regret trading than holding.

Missing JFH is a bit annoying but it is what it is.

Just phone access today so I'll be sitting on this line up - unless some more news comes through Very Happy

Well no, he is 100% confirmed out, for this week. He was removed from the squad in the cut to 19 that happened 24 hours before kick off (yesterday). That is all we know.

I personally think the fact that he was given captains run to prove his fitness pretty much means he may have tweaked it a little during training and it just got the better of him this week (if it were a later game, might be playing). If it was anything serious he wouldn't have been training to make the final 17. He has been cut by precaution because Seibold knows he needs him for the year. One week here is better than 5 down the track. IMO

On 27 trades before trading this week, I think I'll make one trade and do crocker to JMK but otherwise the trades for the next couple weeks will be for injury only. Need to start banking them. I'm in the top 4% now so am happy to linger around there and make moves late season.

I for one, won't be trading Murray. He's ultimate reliable and still got cash to make. I would think he would be back next week. THey've got great physios and recovery programs. It's a bit harder with N Brown out too but have decent forward cover. Trading Lodge to JFH mainly for points though especially with my two 50 pointers out, need someone to pull finger. Hopefully he goes well this week.

Anybody thought about moving Dufty on? 30 point player with the odd big game in him, but I have Thompson there to replace and his bank could be useful... He'll lose cash without a big one this week

I don't own Dufty mate but he is indeed a tough one. I think if you have Thompson on the bench that could come in, it's worth a gamble especially for like a JFH. I friend wanted help with her team and Dufty was one of the ones I pointed to for a downgrade as she has Thompson on the bench, not with a lot of confidence mind you. Obviously now with Murray that could change but if you have the likes of Griffin, Lodge, RFM that could still make money, Dufty isn't a bad shout. He's going to be one of those 30 or 70 players I think but the last couple of weeks it's obvious that they are going back to totally cutting him out of a lot of players. I mean he got what 32 last week with a long range try, that's concerning.

Yup I have been, I've had him since the start and watched about half of his minutes. From what I've seen of him + a gut feel tells me he is probably punching above his weight right now in fantasy $ terms. BE of 42 this week means you can probably take one more look at him though. If he goes big then great, but if he has another 30 - 35 point game then I'd probably upgrade him or downgrade to a similar scorer (for less $) and use the cash elsewhere.

In the other (sports deck) comp he has shot up in value and has a BE of 66, so its now or never in that comp for me, hence why I'm thinking a lot about it this week!

After watching Murray very closely the last 2 weeks I actually think we overrate him on this forum.

I consider Jai Arrow a much stringer defender who is fitter and runs the ball hard.

Murray seems to get gassed pretty easy then stops flopping in.

True True but didn't NRL say that he still had Captain's Run to prove his fitness?

No way in hell MS. Starting a week after a Hammy is tempting fate on the Rabbitohs behalf.

Looking for a player under $350k, keeping in mind I have no back cover. Thinking JMK, Gosie or Holmes atm. Holmes gives me cover, has proven to be a 35 point average player, priced at around 20 points.

    Thoughts?

Looking for someone to replace Niko and keep coming back to JMK. I am building a decent bank though so that is what sways my thought process. I'm thinking I might take a points hit over the next week or two for the Savings account.

I'm literally going to have to prepare myself mentally before I look at my team today. The Fantasy season never fails to throw out multiple curve balls every few weeks.
