If Gosiewki gets a start this week is he a better trade in than Maloney for Carty. Or just grasping at straws here?

Also Hiku at home to the Cowboys, or Thompson in NZ against the Storm?

Depends on your positionings in your squad. I wouldn't trade someone in that I haven't seen play yet personally.

    I'd go Thompson over Hiku.

    Good season all.

    Yeah mate, I agree completely.

There are elements of this new format I like, for example I like not having a set structure to who I have to have in my team outside of the starting 13, and I like the ranked subs thing. But its fucken dumb that people can loophole each week and the rolling lockout means that to do well in this game, fantasy basically has to be your life (which is ironic). With two kids, two jobs, and friends and family I actually want to spend time I'll have to have all the luck in the world to do well.

I'll be the same as you. I'll try and sink as much time into it as I can, but inevitably I'll probably bail at some point!!

Actually Im off to California soon... Time difference could make this pretty tough. If Im still in the top 100 I might need someone to help me out! Any takers?

Are you keeping the faith in him Welshy or trading?

Will probably keep the faith mate, will more than likely have to deal with Arey after this week and find a suitable replacement Laugh 3

I know I'm in minority but people complaining about the loophole meaning you have to be logged in 24/7 Is ridiculous. I've used it once for 26pt gain. I've set up for it twice and both times didn't need to do anything because first scorer went alright but if I did I had full 24 hrs to do a 2 minute max change. Then there's the chance it backfires. You don't like a 25 score then you loop someone and they get a Mbye like -1.

Its the rolling lockout that means you've gotta invest the time - the loophole is fine, like you say, you can deal with that without too much hassle. It does take a bit of time to work out how to do it though, and I think part of the problem is that while understandably some people find that dimension quite fun (an to some extent I do too), others probably feel it takes away from what fantasy sport is all about. It's a facet of the game that really is completely unnecessary and pisses people off. I certainly agree with the unnecessary part, and I can for sure see where people are coming from with getting annoyed about it too.

Look it is what it is, and Im not complaining. But I do see where people are coming from!

What it does mean for me though is that I'll bail on the whole thing once I feel like Im out of contention. I'm either as all in (as I can be) or if I aint got a chance of winning, not at all (cause I just don't see the point when the decks stacked in other peoples favour).

Thanks mate, that would be awesome.

Im not in any leagues cause I knew there'd be a high likelihood I wouldn't play the season out (new baby recently), but as long as Im doing well, and have a chance of beating Rabs then I'll stay in the game!

    Good season all.

I also feel it's too easy to bring in any players you want instead of a direct positional change. For example I put Smith to the bench & got a half back instead of only being able to get a hooker. Maybe they decided to make it easier to increase players numbers. Of course the unintended consequence of Smith faltering has meant it has made it more exciting with all the different captaincy choices.

Interesting as ever from Steve Nicholls on "how much is a trade worth?" (Spoiler: It's the wrong question.)

I’ve got three kids, a missus, a dog, a cat, two horses, a hot golf game, fishing comps every month, downvotes galore, hate the loophole and no time for rolling lockout - but I’m gonna get you buddy Drug

As Rapana is bleeding cash is it time to start considering running 4 WFBs in the 17? Already got Ponga Edward Dufty who look like keepers. I can justify it by saying Rapana's best position is hooker Wink
