I feel like I have too many cheapies with too much cash left over.

Who/which position would you upgrade?

Smith
Scott, Lodge
NBrown, Aarow, RFM
Croft, Croker
Inglis, Hayne
Tedesco, Dufty, Ponga

Cook, Cartwright, Nicholls, IPapali'i

Havili, Kikau, Katoa, Hiku

$200k to spend.

For those that have both are you playing Hiku or Kennar in your 17? Currently have Kennar on the pine

I honestly wouldn't be comfortable putting either of them in my 17 but Kennar definitely the better option over Hiku in round 1!

After finalising my team I'm now considering bringing in Jurbo for Fifita (shifting TKO to front row)

I need to do some work today!

I would go with Hiku because he will at least be making tackles as a centre and score more consistently. Kennar is on the wing. Also 40% own Hiku so he is less risk and if he scores big you wont fall behind.

I think you're okay there mate. 200k is a good balance as well.

Obvious one would be bin Croker, Cartwright to half and pickup anyone. TPJ, Griffin, Rochow, NAS etc etc

Think Leilua makes more than Papali'i over the season also. I would also have Kennar over Hiku if he is just your backup, bank the $55K and they will both make the same money.

Hiku will be up against Inglis, Copely, Croker and LMitchell first four rounds. Not sure weeks 2 and 3 will make up for the missed tackles in weeks 1 and 4. I'm taking the punt on Kennar instead to bag a few meat pies against the Warriors, Panthers, Sea Eagles and Raiders. Not a bad opening run against defensively weak sides I feel.
