Priced at 56 how does he do any better? 9 tries, 14 TA's, 351 kms per game. 56 is by far the best avg he has had in five years. I'm not saying he can't do it again but surely there's better value?

Agree there is better value and money to be made for slightly less risk. I am hopeful for Pearce and the Knights that they have a good season because it will be good for football.

    That's a great looking team

I'm unsure on Moses, will never hit GUN status because he misses too many tackles and will isn't the dominant kicker in the ilk of Arey, Peace, Cleary etc think his ceiling caps around 40, which would be decent but too inconsistent for me

I'd rather find the cash and go for Croft

Yeah I guess it's just me being biased as I know he has shortcomings but he was the focal point of our attack even with Norman there(Norman really went off the boil late last year) plus his kick metres, forcing drop outs and goal kicking should all help negate some of those missed tackles. Hopefully for me anyway lol I think I might keep the faith

    My current team:

    HOK: C. Smith
    FRF: J. Bromwich, J. Graham
    2RF: N. Brown, J. Arrow, N. Asofa-Solomona
    HLF: B. Croft, C. Watson
    CTR: T. Milne, P. Hiku
    WFB: K. Ponga, J. Hayne, G. Inglis

    D. Cook
    M. Lichaa
    C. Garvey
    M. Lodge

    L. Croker
    B. Cartwright
    R. Kennar
    V. Kikau

    Cash left: $17 000
Noticeable Omissions: J. Tedesco, C. Murray, T. Harris

I think I should swap Kikau out for a dual FRF/2RF or for a WFB/CTR option. Just rounds out the depth of the team more. However it would have to be at a basement price. Not too worried if one of my CTR/WFB guys are bust. As it would affect most players. Not too thrilled at starting Arrow due to the risk, but if he performs it will be fine.

    Any advice?

On townsend. Brailey isn't going to be kicking, Holmes wont be kicking, Moylan will do next to none. Really he'll only be competing for KM with Wade Graham. I just feel hes going to do well

Townsend kicked for over 100m more a game than Maloney last year

You need to bank on him going to around 350km a game to see a real difference, with Moylan that might happen, its risky though

If Graham wasn't in the side he could be up near the 500km mark.. Hmm I'll probably panic and put him in my team last minute and regret it

Put it this way the king of KM BHunt went around 300-320km a game during his prime half days

Thank you for putting it into perspective! I was more hoping he would be a Luke Walsh sort of kicker. I doubt he would be so Jrey and Croft it is

Chad Townsend averaged 238km last year.
James Maloney averaged 126km last year.

Matt Moylan averaged 37km last year.
Jayden Brailey averaged 2km last year.
Wade Graham averaged 24km last year
Valentine Holmes averaged 3km last year.

Graham, Brailey and Holmes might get an uptick just because there is no more Maloney. However three of those guys were in the same team last year. So realistically there is 90 odd km's unaccounted for and most likely those are going to Townsend. I don't think Moylan or Graham will double their average KM's a game, so Townsend could comfortably hit the 300km mark.

Moylan averaged 80.5 KM a game when in the halves mate
An extra 2.5 points a game from KM for townsend if he goes around 300

Who thinks C. Watson will score like Keary i.e. up & down at great extremes. I can't see Watson getting any kick metres & he'll rely on attacking stats but with Pearce there will he get that many so all you're left with are crumbs with Pearce dominating.

That is the exact player comparison I had for Watson in my player profiles mate

    I agree

Completely agree, Watson will do his job but everything will be going through Pearce

I agree but he's cheap and all it takes for those extremes is a couple of big games and ride him to a gun, and the dpp is handy. That said he is currently out of my team, and given there should be several hookers to choose from the only appeal might be if I need cover in the halves. Hopefully Cartwright or Cleeland or a bolter is named and I don't have to.
