Simpkin led the Maroons under 18's side to victory last night over the Blues. He is a young prospect with plenty of talent. The Broncos have reportedly viewed him as Andrew McCulloughs replacement for the past few seasons.
The Tigers have both their hookers Farah & Liddle off contract at the end of 2019. They are rumoured to be interested in Sea Eagles hooker Api Koroisau, but have started their recruitment drive with Simpkin.
At 17 years of age, Simpkin had multiple clubs interested in him, but the opportunity to play first grade in 2020 with the Tigers proved crucial in the decision around his future.
