See previous argument. There's not 16 marquee spine players, let alone 18 or 20 for expansion. And is it a good idea that each team would have a "marquee" spine player, if the rest of the spine has players who currently can't get a run above QCup?

I think you're right about capitulating in the past so that's a good sign, but I wouldn't get too carried away just yet. The Tigers performance might yet be the second worse performance of any team this weekend (with the Broncos the worst). We should have been 20 up in the first half except for bad execution, rather than great Tigers defence. Imagine what a decent team like the Roosters or Storm would have done to you.

Good on Chee Kam too. He's always been one of those players who has always been seen as average at best. Not big enough to be a back rower, not skillful enough to be an outside back. But last night he created the first try from nothing, and scored the match winner in the sort of try that will be on highlight reels for years. That he has been able to regularly stay in the first grade team even as a fringe player is probably a sign that he tries hard with what he's got and is an excellent trainer. It's good to see guys like that have some big moments. I haven't seen the Tigers yet this year before last night. Hopefully he's on track for a big year.

Just a heads up, I'll be attending next round's clash vs. Titans and I'm currently 0/2 on Tigers games lifetime. Expecting either a heavy defeat or a loss at the siren like last year vs. Knights, so won't be any disappointment from me.. unless Benji doesn't play. Kinda hoping to mark that off the bucketlist.

That feels better. I was starting to feel confident. Good time to mention no team has ever had 50 put on them and then gone on to win the comp.

It was surprisingly how many people, not to mention well respected commentators, took the win last week against the Broncos as some sort of benchmark victory and turning point for the Tigers.

The Broncos are coming equal last and the Tigers only pipped them on the siren.

I think I got $2.06 in the end for the Eels.

Broke my Tigers curse 1/3 seeing them live, and should've beat Knights last year

Had mostly wiped that Knights game out of my memory, forgot that Benji did play that game, so had already seen the great man in person

I was that one excited guy the camera panned to when Fonua went in at the end to rub salt in the wounds. I don't give a fuck that it was only the Titans and the game was already won
