If we only get 21 in the squad DPP is going to be way more valuable to cover for injuries and get through the bye rounds

"Announcements time! 2018 PLAYER PRICES will be revealed, two clubs at a time, from this week - starting tomorrow. You'll also get a first look at a couple of big changes to NRL Fantasy tomorrow. It's like a Team List Tuesday in December."

I agree & with Hopoate at f/b I think that's the best option but apparently Mbye will play f/b with Hopoate in the ctrs.

This is a direct quote "Canterbury coach Dean Pay has made bold plans to overhaul what has been a predictable attacking structure in recent years, handing Mbye first crack at the fullback jersey for next season."

Just released by the Gold Coast Titans:
"I had a good conversation with Garth and the future looks bright."

Confirmation that Michael Gordon has joined the Titans.

Can't wait for the prices to be released so I can start planning my team. A few players I already basically have locked in are Harris, Klemmer, Inglis and Munster.

Cheers WL. still dont get the need to inflate the prices .. just reduce the cap and maintain familiar prices. Ridiculous.

judging from the nrl.com launch details, when they launch the new fantasy site, you'll need a new 'NRL account' to gain access

Seeing the dragons prices doesn't help much for pricing.

    Tyrone May - played 7 games in 2017 - 30% discount
Matthew Dufty played 7 games in 2017 - 9% discount

Dufty's discount is what has been used in previous years (3% discount for every game played less than 10) and the formula I used for my prices on page 1 assumes this.
Tyrone May is an outlier for some reason - potentially there could be more coming up.

It's annoying when they are inconsistent with pricing discounts, I don't see a reason why May would need a 30% discount compared to Dufty's 9%

Last year they were very inconsistent with players who had played just 1 game. Which is somewhat understandable - its shit when someone plays one game, scores 60 points and then gets a ridiculous price for the next year.

Now we have to wait to see what sort of discount Thurston, Ponga, Scott, Croft, Inglis all get before we go crazy over them.

With only a 21 man squad and 1 bye this year i can almost see a wild card weekend on that stand alone origin that allows unlimited trades

So with base price at $212k rather than $138k, we basically multiply new prices by 2/3 to translate approximate value in last year's money? Gonna need to do that for now to work out who is and isn't a bargain.

Chances it is a 13 man squad with the 8 NPR's? Doesn't make sense from a reality POV I guess.

Thinking 8 reserves means 2x reserves in the 3 player spots (WFB, 2RF) and 1 reserve in the 2 player spots plus HKR. Would make DPP between FRF & 2RF and HLF & WFB pretty much essential.

i wish there had been a little bit further clarification up front as to what the reduced squad numbers means for the game, its a pretty major change to just gloss over like they have, and i just don't see how the current system could work with it without some heavy frustrations once the injuries start to mount.

the only ways i could see it working are:
    - if, as you said, we score with 13 players
    - if, as i said, the reserve spots aren't tied to a position
    - if we're given 2 trades every week
