Thanks mate. When I had the free version of the BEs my memory was that the BEs were often out by a couple which might explain all but Crichton's which is out by 7...mmm. But also the Magic Number hasnt been changed - Milch said it would be ok not to. That will explain small differences of 1,2 or 3, I would have thought. Now that I think about it, Chrichton's is a bit of an outlier with the 131 score. Perhaps that explains why his is a way out...

If you have time to look at a few more random ones (say 10) and see how close they are that would be useful. If they are mostly close then what's there probably has some value.

Unfortunately I dont have the time to unpick the whole spreadsheet and find out what I have done wrong...(if in fact I have done something wrong). If someone tells me how to generate the Magic Number I could update that for the next round and that would make it more accurate I would think. Is it the sum of the points divided by the sum of the player values? or something like that?

Hmmm no surprises to see R&T rising up the ranks (in a Milch like fashion) since taking over the BE's.....

Hi guys.

Magic Number is total price of all players in a round divided by total fantasy score of the round. It does vary a bit more during bye rounds as big name players get replaced by cheap rookies.

I'm just on my tablet here on holidays and don't have access to my spreadsheets so can't check R&T's stuff.
Hopefully it's close enough to be useful.

At this point it's more about points than cash though, so unless funds are super tight for an upgrade BEs aren't as important as earlier in the season.

What happened to Ma'u. Will he be back next week?


My eliminator opponent projected at over 1000, but that includes Crichton 91, Rapana 89 and Surgess 78 which seem a little optimistic

Yes it was, his right knee. They tapped it up and he played on for a couple more minutes and he looked OK, but then you saw him walking up the tunnel and he never came back.Heard nothing today about how serious it is.....
