You really think Melbourne won't be able to do better than Ryley Jacks and Brodie Croft in 2018?

There are some quality halves out there that would jump at the chance to play in Melbourne under Bellamy.

Yeah surely Hiku starts. Hopefully Yeo is eventually dropped backed to the bench when Mansour comes back and Peachey starts in the back row.

Not sure who you are talking about but the only decent halves I can see that are off contract are Johnson, Foran, Moses or Widdop. Who else am I missing that is decent?

dreamers wrote:So the hot trade ins this week is Cook and Frawley.

I would be surprised if Frawley is named in the 17 unless the injury to Lichaa rules him out and Mbye plays hooker but they have Garvey too?

Farah could be out for only a week or two, even if Cook keeps a starting spot his minutes will be inconsistent with Farah there.

Many coaches are clutching at straws.

Anyway, the anticipation of TLT is exciting this week.

The Cook trade is probaby overly optimistic but fantasy aside i think Frawley is a great option for the Dogs. He offers something to there general structure that they haven't had in a long time. Remember the definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Would have preferred that Cronk finished his career at one club, bit of a shame to see him moving on.

Wonder how many players will now ask for a release. So many possibilities.

    Cronk and Foran to Dogs.
    Mbye to Storm
ARey to Storm, Cronk to Souths
    Johnson to Storm
    Widdop back to Storm
Tedesco, Cronk, Foran, Thurston, Woods, Gallen, Slater and Matulino to the Roosters

I thought that too, but really, can you imagine Johnson leaving the Warriors? No chance.

Warriors will pay him more if they have to. He is the Warriors right now in more ways than one.

Yeah that's a tough break mate. At least his high price gives you a lot of options.

Anyone who has watched much of the Dogs this year or last can see clear as day the difference having an actual halfback made.

Not that Frawley was all that amazing, he didn't set the world on fire, he just performed as a genuine halfback. It let Reynolds play his natural game, it let them build much more pressure, it helped the forwards big time.

Mbye/Reynolds does not work. It makes too much sense to put Mbye to centre and run Frawley again.
