St George Illawarra Dragons lock Jack de Belin has suffered a shoulder injury and will be sidelined until at least the Round 16 fixture against the Newcastle Knights at Hunter Stadium, Newcastle.

De Belin suffered the injury to his rotator cuff while on representative debut during the 44-30 loss to the NSW City Origin team at Scully Park Regional Sporting Precinct, Tamworth on Sunday.

The NSW Country Origin representative has undergone scans to the ailment and will commence his rehabilitation program immediately.

“We can confirm that Jack has suffered a rotator cuff injury during his involvement representing NSW Country and he will be unavailable for the next six to eight weeks,” said Dragons Head of Medical & Performance Tony Ayoub.

“Unfortunately for Jack the injury became worse in the days since it first happened and we followed this up with scans on Tuesday.

“It is disappointing for Jack but he is now purely focused on getting his shoulder right.”

It's the same thing we have run the two weeks prior as a result of the FPN banishment. Bateman and Priest play FR and Tapine can spend a bit of time there throughout the game as well. I'm spewing I dropped Vaughany early however I wouldn't be getting on him now, Lima and Soli are only a couple of weeks away based on the last update.

Hope not, you vultures can fuck RIGHT off, Tohu was my POD I brought in rather than Mannering, the week before he was injured. It's my one good thing, don't take this from me!

Looking at Matthews instead of Cooper but JDB comes back eventually so costs you a trade there again.
Cooper holds his place regardless just less workload

a) He needs to be named at centre twice more in final team lists to get DPP

b) They absolutely will not change it less than an hour before he locks out for the round. DPP changes etc normally done on a Wednesday I believe

I hope this is just a one off as he gets up to fitness and used to the Tigers system and he ends up starting this week or next

JDB news really is a punch in all three nuts. I have had sooo many injuries this year and suspensions, but this hurts the most. Bye coverage was perfect,

but I would sell, its a shoulder, and he will not be back to his tackling best even when back.

It said on the NRL site under the eels team list that Taikarangi will play 5/8, even though it showed Gutherson there.

The team list has Takarangi at five-eighth its just the numbers are mixed up. I am assuming thats just an error or are people getting the whole Gutherson at five-eighth from somewhere else??

Well, my stupid planned trades at this stage are

JDB to Whitehead, which is backwards and stupid and sad and no one is as good as JDB
and Taylor to Lamb

Green dot (Taylor) to green dot (Lamb) is a bad move. I will only have 17 playing, but I won't be able to afford to upgrade one of my many reds without a downgrade this week.
My other plan was to go Kata to Scott, to get rid of the sack of shit that is Kata and make some cash that way, but that's obviously a no-go with Scott not selected. So Kata will lose me $25k this week too.
