Hmm, looking at my team I think the biggest problem I have right now is my pack over the bye period. Looking at it from the POV of byes, I think JDB is a must and I should look at doing whatever I can to get him in the next week or two.... the 500k though...

Every time I convince myself on it I chicken out and start considering guys like Tolman instead. Anyone else in a terrible bye position for their forwards and trying to figure it out? Keen to hear other plans...

Does Harris gain the DPP on selection, ie TLT or does he have to start there?

Pretty sure he needs to be named (even before the game) and start.
If he gains DPP, I will go through hell and highwater to get him into my team. Even at 500k
A player like that in the tricky center position is a must-have IMO*

*assuming he then moves back to the forward pack of course

TLT has 0% relevance when it comes to DPP. Only final team lists matter

If he does get it, I'd have CLaw, Croker, BJ and Tohu in my team. Seems weird to say it but there would be a very real chance I'd keep all 4 and have 2 of my reserves as centres O_o

No one is safe I suppose, but given Semi is contracted until 2018 IIRC, he's relatively safe. Gutherson might actually benefit.

Norman owners should be worried, Paulo owners as well. There was a piece in the DT about it, but the two you asked about are safe.

I'd be on board with that...it'll be kind of like Football Manager with cheats enabled.
Of the 35 listed in the 'main squad I'd keep 13, max:

    Keep
    Fusitu'a
    Gubbinator
    Hoffman
    Johnson
    Kata
    Lane
    Lolohea
    Luke
    Mannering
    Sipley
    Tevaga
    RTS
    Vete

    Discard
    Allwood
    Ayshford
    Gavet
    Henry
    Hurrell
    Lauititi
    Leuluai
    Lillyman
    Lino
    Lisone
    Lousi
    Matulino
    Maumalo
    Nicoll-Klokstad
    Palavi
    Roache
    Robson
    Sao
    Thompson
    Vatuvei
    Wells

I'm keen to know why Thompson and Lino are on your list? Just Thompson because he was caught up with the attitude thingy or personal preference?

I know its a touch early to be thinking about trades.

But Taylor and Littlejohn > Lamb and Aitken are tempting atm for byes and other purposes.

Would give me a RD12 team of

    Graham, Grant, Mataora(r)
    JDB, Whitehead, Fensom
    Lamb, Feeney
    Holland, Aitken
    Radradra, Gutherson

    Doesnt look to shabby

Really based on getting caught mixing the energy drinks and pills fiasco...a senior member of the squad participating in that just rubs me the wrong way....more so being a long time suffering fan the bitterness is multiplied  Rip

In this situation I was looking as it being a major cleanout to the fullest extent, keeping only the key players and prospects. Players like Lino, Palavi, Wells, Allwood deserve NRL contracts, and I do rate them as players...though just with lower ceilings than the 13 picked.

Not yet! Maybe for the Auckland 9's in a year or two. Was just a joke, about a bad situation sure, but these are grown ass men making stupid decisions, so I'm not exactly in a sympathetic mood.

Hopefully the drugged out border control in NZ will accommodate me when they let me in!
