    This might explain it...

Tuilagi has a thumb injury which is set to sideline him for at least 6 weeks, hence the no contest plea.

T May has 4 trades burned written all over him for points chasers this week.

Get on board and enjoy Jersey 17 and sticking him in a loop just next week with me 🤣

MattNZ spends his last trade three weeks before the new ones come in on a speculative low-minute MID SUB-COW POD!

    Legend!
Definitely some risk with it. My options are kelma to porter or pole. Rewatched the tigers game focusing on porter, looked really good and got 70 minutes on the edge, so not low minutes at all. Looking for him to hold that spot until Bateman is back in r19 or 20. Plays both mid and edge, with a good chance he stays in the team until Ipap returns.

If he fills a role the next few weeks with decent scoring, and frees up $200k for weekes to cleary in 1 trade, then becomes another cash out later, he has done his job.

Makes sense, just funny how it went.

    - Oh shit 4 weeks, that's a must trade.
    - Oh he's disputing it maybe there's a small chance it's 2 weeks.
    - Oh nvm his thumbs fucked he's out 6 weeks

Not Hughes, likely captain material. Try to loop the other 2.

Hughes is 1, just not sure on the other. Can’t loop.

This is entirely fantasy-selfish, but Mitch Barnett being 18th and missing an NRL game while Cam McInnes is right there at 19 with his team on the bye is silly to me.

At some point the clubs are going to start chipping away at Origin the same way they did with City-Country, internationals. Won't be tomorrow, might be 20 years away, but will happen. Hard to cop being just outside the 8 and a player missing because he's the backup... but only backing up half the team, really.

Twal concussion was Wednesday. NRL Physio said he was eligible, but didn't expect him to play this week due to his concussion history. 3rd in the last 6 months and 6 in the last 18 months. Twal is the new Matto.

Titans just released an injury report

Klese Haas has suffered a bruised heel from the same game, meaning he will now be a week-to-week prospect, with coaching staff opting for a conservative approach with the bye coming next weekend, allowing a fortnight of rest for the 22-year-old.

In good news, there is likely some reinforcements coming after the bye with AJ Brimson and Harley Smith-Shields starting to integrate into training this week, anticipating to be in the mix for selection in Round 18, when the Gold Coast head to Coffs Harbour to face the Sharks.

A bruised heel sounds like it would hurt, would no doubt change how you walk let alone run no doubt

Eels just released an injury report

Kelma Tuilagi has sustained an injury to his thumb which requires surgery and rules him out for 6-8 weeks.

As a result of the updated injury diagnosis received today, the Eels have decided to plead ‘no contest’ to Kelma’s charge at the NRL Judiciary.

J'maine Hopgood, who was ruled out of Queensland Maroons selection ahead of Origin II, is currently being monitored and treated for a lower back injury. His progress will be monitored over the coming days before a course of action is finalised.

Maika Sivo is expected to be available for the Eels' next match against the Newcastle Knights in Round 17. The winger missed the past two matches with a hamstring injury, but is closing in on a return to full fitness.
