I thought the Tigers pack mostly held their own against a better pack. I imagine both packs probably feel they did okay but could've performed a bit better.
Most of the game was a fair battle with the Broncos capitalizing on some key moments with their vastly superior strike power.

The Tigers were also on the wrong end of some significant contentious calls (Api no try, Reece Walsh off a forward pass heading into HT), though neither would've affected the outcome with the result never in doubt.

Thanks ET. Hopefully Benji sticks with Bateman at 13

603/12 - Hynes (c), Smithies, KPP, Iro & Strange to play but i could play Kris over Strange but i assume strange will get bulk km's so preferring him. Kris will be up against Ramien that will be difficult for kris to handle him on attack & ramien's a good defender.

As ET said , the game wasn't lost on the forwards. Tigers actually dominated territory and possession in the first half, but were let down by their inability to score, whilst the Broncos were good enough to capitalise on the few opportunities they got. A few harsh ref's calls hoing the other way and 10-6 could have realistically been the half time score.

2nd half the Tigers kind of fell away a bit and let in some soft tries , but in general the score made Brisbane look more dominant than they actually were

Post round 1 when May was the most popular trade in

    May - 34, 28, 29, 34, 27. Price change -105k

    Arthars - 28, 30, 22, 49, 21, 33, 48. Price change +76k

I'm sure there is a lesson here about trading in outside backs at peak price

I also think this is an argument for not trading out dodgy DPP WFB/CTRs that just sit in your 18-21 most of the time not doing much... They are never going to lose too much value and always have the chance of pumping out some decent scores to get your cash generation pumping. If you do have to play than you may not even miss out on that many points

Yeah one year might just cop medicine entirely with whatever shit I have in the backs and as cover. Doesn’t help losing your Burbos and Pongas obviously but hurts a lot ending up buying all of Chevy and Chester and Talagi and now Atkinson.

The owning of a Cotric is obviously not going to score you any points, but pissing about and burning 5 trades or more all around the same level of shit players will certainly cost you any hope

My learning out of this is why did I bother picking Russell at the start of the year (who is still in my team) when I could have picked up Talau for 140k less) for the same or better outcome. My first picked next year will be a dodgy DPP WFB/CTR or two as cover so I do not waste trades

In the top 5k he is 60% owned so I assume a lot of non active teams didn’t start with him

602/12 with Chynes, Fuller, Iro, Smithies, KPP to run

Hoping for 900, expecting much less give this season.

    But!

In L8 @Cake tiger is running 619 with JMK, KPP, Iro to come, so I'm hoping Captain Nico + Fuller + Smithies > JMK + 17.

    Quietly hopeful of that.

Quietly hopeful? Have you typed it out wrong?

Nicho without the captaincy probably beats JMK + 17
