i think if you trade wisely you could avg a strong 16 players through the big bye rounds. Its about minimising trades now so that you can do the maxmium every week through that period and leave yourself close to your top 17 come rd19

Obviously bye planning has to start soon and trades now should be done with them in mind but with another 6 rounds until the first bye there is a big chance of injury from now until then, I can remember getting a quality team assembled for the first bye a few years ago then 3/4 guys going down a week out! Fucking heartbreaking

Thats my fear, thankful not relying on him to win any of my H2H's

I'm more worried about Whitehead than Mbye. Mbye will deliver a good score, hopefully Whitehead will start getting a few more attacking stats in the 2nd row after his stint in the halves....
but than you have Austin throwing the dummy and going himself

Whitehead still made 37 tackles, 1 OL and 73metres in Round one with Austin there. It was the 5MT and 2PC that let him down.

Big night tonight... Got graham, tolman, whitehead and potentially liicha playing. Hopefully dogs have to do a lot of D! Averages will get me easily over 800.

is anyone concerned peats may play origin? Farah getting on and most likely won't be playing 80 any more. can see them going with peats or will they have a utility like Reynolds?

re merrin, last week he scored 52 in 31 mins! I'm still holding him hoping he can find some form leading into origin.

I think Austin has earned the utility spot for the blues. Has played fullback, half, hooker and second row.

On a side note, don't let family manage your team while on holidays.  My brother selected Peats for me after reading wackos whispers.

Yep, In general, I don't think enough emphasis is placed on mid-season cows, and their necessity, around here. It's [mostly] all about 'don't trade unless you have to'.
You can't, and shouldn't try, to round up ALL the cows - but continually turning some of them over [right up to/during Origin time] is vital.

You didn't have your first trade free round til Rnd 16 last year. Now obviously you would have preferred to have used less - but shit does happen.

If someone here comes out and says Rnd 16 was his first trade-free round - he will be laughed out of town  

I'm inspired PGC and DL, just need to reshuffle my team to be entirely POD's, half of the NRL to pick up suspensions and I'll catch the leaders yet! Looking like I'll finish the week outside 15k is just a minor setback, I now have all the reason I need to go nuts on trades

Good start to this game fantasy wise for me, Vaughan in the starting Lineup, Boyd to the bench.

Edit: Shifted to the proper thread. And yeah, Garvey looks like he is in O_o

I'm not sure whether or not this will work, but have you tried trading Garvey to Lichaa or Hodgson?
If it works and you get them as your captain it will be a good trade.
