    Haas has only played less than 40 minutes 5 times in his career for the Broncos

    Two injury games and 3 when he came off the bench in 2018.

    He has three games between 40-50 minutes and averages 65. The guy is a workhorse even returning from injuries

    His AC joint injury he played through, killed his scores, was averging 50 odd and had reduce minutes. Back end of 2022.

    Hi everyone - what do you think on these two trades:

    Haas out ---> Terrell in
    Fogarty out --> Hynes in

    leaves me $168 in bank (currently got $117k)

    Reasoning: Haas is out one game (minimum), even if he comes back next week he might not be 100%

    Hynes has a bye coming, but effectively Haas is playing a bye this week. And Hynes (C) is perfect to cover the Chin when he has his bye.

    Fogs not a sell at all, done a really good job....... however Hynes is super upgrade on him. obviously

    Thoughts?

    Trading out Fog might be the most insane trade idea I've ever heard.

    Nothing structurally wrong with Haas though it’s patella pain do we think it’s just one week?

    Consulting specialist doesn’t sound great though

    If he has ongoing pain to manage, that's not ideal....

    Something worth mentioning is Haas went down the tunnel during the game to have his knee assessed but went back out and it didn't look to have impacted his performance that much if at all. As we know Haas' knee scans haven't revealed any structural issues.

    Trading Haas to Hynes is objectively the same given Hynes has his bye coming up, so why not call this Haas' bye?

    My final though re Haas is, you spend 1 trade now to sell, another to buy back and potentially another at the back end of the year when he's potentially getting rested. But by that stage, you've burnt all your trades trading out players with 1 week injuries.

    I don't know what I'm going to do but this is my thought process right now. If Haas isn't back for R4 then he might be shown the door.

    yep that's what is in my mind. He played through ongoing pain a season or two back IIRC. his scoring was affected.

    thanks mate. this does make sense. I am just thinking of ways to get some cash to other areas of my team... but the bigger picture as you outline could end up being more harmful than the short term positive.

    Hmm, food for thought over next couple of days.

    If I had Haas I wouldn't be selling. Would you be selling if he was on a bye?

    I have Haas and am not selling unless we get clearer info of a long term issue.

    I dunno man, bye in round 5, one of them is going to miss a round in the next 3 weeks anyway, why not save a trade and make it this round?

    Haas is definitely a hold.

    But Haas/Wong gets me Hynes/Curran with $0 left over. Talk me off the ledge

    Did he have an injury or was it #demetrioureasons?

    I haven't heard or seen anything, but I could've sworn he was clutching his ribs before he was taken off.

    I might go and rewatch the footage - I just recall thinking this better not be the old rib cartilage injury
    I suspect it maybe was just a solid contact and got winded or something, and the match was already gone so coach put him in cotton wool?

    Although, it's all probably irrelevant with Haas out now too as I certainly wouldn't have the luxury of trading a green dot on suspicion of something

    Willison in the 17 for Haas. At 263k could be an interesting cashie, especially if he kicks on from here and forces his way into the team for Taupau or another forward.

    I couldn't tell if the theme on p51 was of injury or a Salmon flopping 0n the ground, out of water.

    Difference being a bye is a certainty of 1 week. No guarantee of that here and no guarantee that scoring isn't affected if he does return next week.

    I'll probably be holding but just saying it's not quite the same as a bye.
