Looking at my score while watching the cricket. Trying to figure out why it's so decent when it feels really average. Figured it out, it's counting my loop. I been relying on the app lately so a bit confused.

    I'm 434/6C or 471/7C

Edit: cogger and Nelson up 5 collectively

Yet another week of my guns doing nothing (SJ, Yeo, Edwards)

Going to be short in R19 now, bringing my total to 7 players selected for Origin/missing the bye despite playing the week before the bye

Should have just sucked it up and picked JDB

Sorry for being AFK so long, I will exclude most of my lame excuses.

I need to start playing for overall next season instead of just H2H, as my Fantasy team interest takes a nosedive over the Origin period.

Currently 545/8c seems OK, but I still have all 3 FB to play so not going to hold my breath re good overall score, but crushing my H2Hs this round.

I noticed the App has been all over the place with scoring during matches, so assume the total is correct now.

Hope all are doing well health/life-wise and are hanging in there over the toughest period with your teams.

In a bit of a decision making pickle with Simpkin this week, and if the short term cash grab is worth it. I forecast him to make 150-200 over the next 3/5 weeks if he scores at about 40 a week, which would be helpful for the run home as well as the cash generated from Carty -> him (300k) for trading in some guns rd20/21.

I have 5 trades remaining and 400k ITB (4 if I trade him in and 700k ITB) but he would leave me with 5 HOK's for next week (Cook/boyd/turps/hands/simpkin) which I feel is pretty short sighted and I'm chasing the cash too much.

Carty is who will make way, however if I hold fire he could go to someone next week where my numbers are looking pretty slim..

Rd19 team (bold = likely out)

    boyd
    JDB Tohu Horse
    ipap batman
    SJ Hynes
    VTW bird
    Bula x x
    Bench:

Hands, Moses, Cook, Manu, Turpin, Carty

Bye: Manu, Drinky, Ponga, Teddy, NAS

Turpin will definitely be traded to either a MID or CTR if Birds out. Matterson the favourite atm.

Lots going on here sorry, however my question is should I let Simpkin go and save the trade, or take the likely 150/200k cash gain as well as the 300k bank from Carty -> Simpkin.

Anyones input would be hugely appreciated Smile

Honestly take a ahot if you need cash gen for a gun team. I'm thinking Moses and hynes will be the halves for origin so Boyd to halves simpkin to hooker.

    @Welsh Mafia

You say you have 5 hookers next week (Cook/boyd/turps/hands/simpkin), but in reality it's only Boyd/Hands/Simpkin, if Hynes makes Origin you'll need either Boyd or Hands to play in the halves as well

So only one "extra" hooker for next week, for all we know there might be an injury tonight, I say get Simpkin because the cash at this time of season is great

At this stage I think it's about assessing your total squad value, planning the guns you need to get in and seeing if that will work out. If it won't then I think going after a quick cash cow is very reasonable, especially with 5 trades. What's your squad value?

Looking at your team it seems like you will need some cash gains to aim to get the likes of Grant, Cleary, Haas/Yeo, Fifita.

Simpkin being a hooker might not be ideal for your positional coverage right now but I wouldn't worry about it too much as within the next couple weeks Turpin and Boyd will be prime trade outs for gun upgrades anyway. I would go for it.

Not a great start for me with Cook getting benched and Sorensen going off injured when he was on track for a good score. Cook to Grant was probably the play if id seen the Cook news before the game started.

Im a NAS owner and awesome he has scored a try the last two weeks to bolster his score. Im not sure he is a keeper though. Id prob keep Sorensen over him as it looks like he has nailed an 80 min role.

Also stoked with how Cogger has gone but looks like i'll be trading him to a rd 19 cash out in prep to getting Cleary back.

Thanks for the replies guys, I really appreciate it.

Squad value is: 14m with 400k ITB

If I make the Carty to Simpkin trade this week, it'll read 13.7k Value and 700k ITB which is a healthy sum for Rd20 upgrades.

Yeh the late Cook news hurt, let's hope for a bit of good karma next week and he misses origin and starts for us haha.

Agree on NAS - owner as well but hoping he makes steady cash upto around 650k and becomes a nice upgrade to a fallen gun or something

Will be interesting to see how Preston and TPJ go against an ordinary Knights pack. A poor performance will be informative, and frustrating.

Also quietly hoping the RoosterSmiths pull their collective thumbs out and put on a score.
