Yeah Manu's injury seemed like the kind of thing where if it was a GF, he would have played.

My guess for the Chooks team list is the following. I'm assuming that Teddy backs up but Collins does not.

    1. Tedesco
    2. Tupou (Allan if he's not ready yet)
    3. Billy Smith
    4. Suaali'i
    5. Paulo
    6. Manu
    7. Keary
    8. JWH
    9. Turpin
    10. Lodge
    11. Crichton
    12. N Butcher
    13. Brown
    14. Hutchison
    15. Tuponiua (he could start and one of the three starting back rowers could go here)
    16. E Butcher
    17. Baker (if Collins backs up, he would push JWH back here)

Turpin probably still a decent shout even with Hutchison at 14? Might be worth giving it a week to see minutes but Cheese might not be out that long

Cheese is listed as a R20 return, plenty of time for Turpin. I don't have any use for him (He only covers R15 for Robson, they both miss 19) while Liddle has a lot of utility for me (covers both 15 and 19 which Robson misses)

Turpin will probably plod his way from 337k to 450-500k but he also isn't a very good player and needs 60+ minutes to plod enough points.

LOL, match notes from the Knights/Sea Eagles game:

"Koula replaced by turnstile or speedhump for all defensive sets"

Ahh of course. Well maybe just Sele to Turpin and play Carrigan this week then re evaluate things

Lolo and Nanai coming back. Probably shifts back to his small role off the bench by then.

    Moderation is fairly lax.

I promise to also use the notes for good.

Any notes about Schuster, his penetrative kicking game and blistering pace? I'm sure he stood still at one point because he had forgotten what to do, either that or he had confused all his teammates with his 'tricks'.

A Roar article called him all tinsel and no tree which was pretty apt.

I commented yesterday that he had no faith in his speed on that intercept watching live on TV.

I then got in the car in time for the HT summary on ABC radio, where they replayed Andrew Moore's call. It's fair to say he was a bit more scathing. Paraphrasing, but I think "running on the spot" was his description for listeners.

BTW, think Andrew Moore is a fine commentator, not sure how he'd translate to TV but I wouldn't mind if someone gave him a shot. Definitely prefer the current ABC lineup over the old David Morrow and Warren Ryan crew.

I'm usually listening to the ABC on the drives to and from Indoor football on Thursday Night and Sunday arvo and i much prefer it to the TV commentary. It's got the right balance of ex players (Luke Lewis, Zane Bojak, Conor Watson etc.) providing pundit style commentary vs. the main caller, who does most of the work. It does lack an overbearing windbag (Phil Gould, Michael Ennis) which is only ever a good thing.

Is it to own over the next few weeks, and also for the 2 months afterwards. Or is to to own for the next few weeks and then trade out again?

    Teams that play R16+R19
    Sharks, Tigers, Bulldogs, Eels
First 3 all 3 have a bye in R17 so you don't want too many from those teams. R17 also a post origin round so there may be restings
Eels also miss R18 so not necessarily a great trade in now, they were most useful if you already had them for R13. Might still be Ok though if you can find one that doesn't get injured

    Next best teams
Storm, Roosters, Panthers - they play R14-R18 without a bye. They have a bye in R19 so you either just suck it up for that week or trade them to a keeper afterwards
Cowboys are almost as good. They Miss R15 which is not a big bye round and not directly after origin, so should be easy to cover an absence that week.

    Other R16 teams are
Manly, Knights,  (both on the bye this week)

For MIDs. Fisher-Harris probably the best combo of scoring potential/price/likelihood of being a keeper. You could also think about a punt on Finucane.
Or just grab a cheapie like HEdwards/Fainu ad see what happens

This is a shameless reply to save this post in my history Shitposting

are there any cheap WFB/CTR (don't have to be dual, but wouldn't hurt) worth getting this week? I'm going to be playing short if I don't get someone in one of those positions.

SIMonSSON should have DPP next week - he has been quite solid since he shifted to CTR
