Do Dogs start getting players back any time soon?

Thompson and Kikau are gone long term right? Anyone around that would send Harrison back to the bench?

NRL Physio said the injury looks worse than it is. Nothing concrete though. It could be a 2-3 weeks which almost makes him a hold with their R13 bye?

I'll likely have to sell him to enable buying Luki + another cow as I've got 5 WFB + CTR options without Manu but will depend on everyone's team balance.

Re Luki - Gosiewski's scored 2 tries in 2 weeks but generally Luki has 100x more upside haha so I think the only threat is Luciano coming up but we can't be sure on that.

Personally will 100% be going Luki this week. Love him as a player and he'll make $$ over the next month + plays R13 & 14.

I bought him last week so not a case of whether or not I buy him this week, but I'd have thought when Nanai comes back he takes Gosiewski's spot, surely?

I'd guess at full strength they look something like:

    8. Hess
    9. Robson
    10. Cotter
    11. Nanai
    12. Luki
    13. Taumalolo

    14. Granville
    15. McLean
    16. JTB
    17. Neame/Gos

Luki won't play the Dragons every week is pretty lazy analysis

That was literally the first game this season where the Dragons haven't been in the contest at all

Other edges and what happened when they played the Dragons that week

    iPap 52
    Preston 35
    Egan 52
    Angus 27
    Young 59
    Fifita 64 & 63
    NULL 36
    Nikora 59
    Wilton 50
    Capewell 53
    Riki 43

Haven't exactly been seeing banners. Mainly below average scoring?

Saw a line in NRL Physio's podcast preview "abandon ship Max King" or something similar. Assume he's talking about King playing through injury and it's not worth holding him. With the Dogs playing poorly + think I read somewhere the Coach mentioned blooding rookies or giving them more of a go?

Sorry a lot of assumptions in here but basically thinking Edwards is a good guy and again one that will atleast make cash in the short term.

Depends if Leilua comes back or not. Saw a rumour they are expecting him back soon, but that could be just shitty word from the shire.

Without Leilua, I'd think Luki+Nanai are the 2 starters when everyone is fit.

I think that it's that his trial date is set down for the 18th of May, and because his now-fiancé doesn't want to pursue charges it's assumed he'll get off and therefore be available from this week.

I thought it'd be cool to put a post out there and get people to send through resources for bye analysis/prep across NRL Supercoach & Fantasy. I'm sure the list will go throughout the day haha. Here's the post:

Someone mentioned buying Ponga. Will miss 2 of the next 3 nrl rounds, but have 2 games to get through.

Also missing 3 of the next 5 rounds. Maybe a buy if he survives to round 17.

I noticed that Bird didn't miss any tackles on Luki, he was playing out wider, more like a center.

The advantage of getting him this week was that he was cheap. I think a lot of people were hoping he'd be relatively quiet to drop hi sprice below $400k to pick up in a few rounds.

It really is a points vs price decision on whether to grab him now or not. Tighter funds are it might mean getting him now at his cheapest

I probably won't get him this week, but I think the plan for most who do is that he's cheap enough to be a high upside 18th/19th man loop option in your final team. He's gonna be priced at approx 30 this week and gonna start moving in the other direction, so if that is the plan it might still be worth getting him at his cheapest and stashing him away in EMG? I can see the justification for it.

Gagai has been playing great. Maybe he gets a wing opposite Cobbo.

Yeah not sure it has to be either/or, I'd say that other wing spot is up for grabs between Coates/Gagai/Hammer/Taulagi/Sami et al.

Gagai also personifies the type of player that will always lift for Queensland, even if his club form isn't great. i think they'd be crazy not to pick him

Queensland looks like they could have their best team in years. Scary to think what could happen, given they normally beat NSW even without their best team

    QUEENSLAND’S GAGAI SNUB

Queensland selectors are set to sensationally snub one of the Maroons most loyal servants over the past decade — Dane Gagai.

That is according to The Daily Telegraph’s David Riccio who believes Billy Slater will name Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow in the centres alongside Valentine Holmes.

Gagai, 32, has played 21 games for Queensland since making his debut in Game III of the 2015 series.

“I am getting really strong mail here guys that Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow will be in the starting centres for Queensland,” Riccio said.

“I think that’s justified and I think that is based on how he did such a great job defensively in his last appearance for Queensland on Tom Trbojevic.

“It’s probably just another tick for the Dolphins if this does eventuate, which I’m confident it will.

“There would have been a thought for some players signing for the Dolphins that this might have an impact on my representative career.

“But Tabuai-Fidow has had a wonderful year.”

Rugby league legend Greg Alexander was stunned by the news, claiming it was “disrespectful” to the gun centre who has consistently delivered for Queensland.

“That doesn’t sound very Queensland like to me… that would be disrespectful is Dane Gagai doesn’t get picked,” Alexander said.

Riccio also revealed that Kalyn Ponga is in the box seat for the fullback jersey, with Selwyn Cobbo and Xavier Coates on the wings.
