Was always planning to trade out Cook over origin, but thinking I might bring that forward and use him to get JDB and to upgrade Alamoti to Null.

Would mean running Cheese or Boyd at hooker for a while, but it's not like there's a lot of quality this year at hok anyway.

Yeah, nothing major for me either. Only thing I was considering is Walsh for Drinkwater. Walsh probably gets Origin for mine, but even if he doesn't, I've ridden the Broncos' easy run, they have it a bit more difficult now and he could start losing cash quickly.

100k difference from him to Drinky for probably the same scoring and better byes. Any other R13/16 backs worth considering other than Drinky and Guth?

I'm looking at doing the same thing.
Very keen to see what the injury news is with Chad and whether Drinky gets shifted into the halves.

With Chester out I'm not sure they would move him. Unless Holmes to fullback?

    Return of the Hamptons?

I think Chad's "injury" is age and form. If I was coaching the Cowboys, Drinky would be in halves now and Holmes at fullback. It would be good for DW's fantasy scoring (as dominant kicker with Dearden) but even at fullback I quite like him as a buy.

It still seems every opportunity will be given to Ponga to get in shape for origin.

Walsh won't have the combinations Ponga has, and defending out of the line.

Looking at just making 2 trades this week hopefully, finally getting to save a trade, bringing in Bula and Penisini.

Starts setting me up for the Origin period and leaves me with this team, with 10 players ready for round 13, and just 1 incumbent Origin player. Can hopefully save more trades in coming weeks, now that the team is scoring well.

    Boyd
    NAS JDB Horse
    Fifita Preston
    Hynes SJ
    Penisini Sami
    Manu Miller Cobbo

    Hopgood McInnes Ford Smith
    Katoa Granville Bula Weekes

Not having a dig or anything but momentum isn’t a thing in fantasy is it? Every week is very stand alone?

Just because you have a good week doesn’t mean that will continue in coming weeks.

I’d personally like to get over 800 this week so wouldn’t be opposed to another 26 points

I see it the other way, it is best to be coming in hot, with the right players already in your team, that others are scrambling to get into their teams, because they are great value and the best in their position.

If your CTR/EDG just scored a couple of tries to get you a big score like Lemuelu, then its not likely to continue, could be back to 30 next week, but big minute, high PPM MIDs like JDB and Horse, there is no reason they can't continue putting up big scores, the same with NAS being a wrecking ball every week on the EDG, Hynes as the best Captaincy option, averaging 81, that some teams are going to need to pull apart to get him in, Fifita is consistently putting up big scores, and still hasn't had a 2 or 3 try game yet, is due a banner. SJ is extremely consistent. Even Boyd has been consistently putting up good scores the last few weeks, McInnes should retain lock, with both the Sharks starting props out of action and scored low for that role last week.

I guess if you make the trades everyone else is making a week (or even two) early, you have saved cash and made the points early as well. So you can focus on bringing in the next must have player early while others are trying to catch up. If you keep making the right decisions I suppose you get some "momentum"?

But you are right it's absolutely standalone from a team perspective.

I think momentum in fantasy is all about getting team balance right, and riding the wave of "in-form players", "cash cows" and "coin goats"

A well balanced team can score OK despite having a few dud scores
