Cotter maybe, Nanai I think next to no chance

People seem so high on Cotter playing Origin but reality he's played ONE game for them, and they won the series without him?

Think odds are that Carrigan is starting 13, Cotter has been in a struggling team (and himself tbh)

No one really knows but Billy, but if he rewards form (as he did with Cotter in game 1), I wouldn't be shocked if Fifita and Horse make the team ahead of them

Disclaimer: I do not have nor intend to buy Cotter until I see the Origin teams announced

Played 80 at lock with Carrigan coming off the bench at prop, Papa and Collins low minutes in a winning team. Was clearly a key player in their plans, along with the other big minute guys, Carrigan and Tino. Only injury kept him out.

Carty and Loiero to bula and hynes is rather tempting.

Worth noting that if you have Robson (the premium 13/16 hooker), you can't also play Granville in R13. Maybe you can in R16 if he gets DPP (no guarantee based on the first lot of DPPs given)

So you get a couple good scores, then some potential 20s when Taumalolo gets back. Then maybe a good usable score in R16 (depending on origin make up and what sort of role Granville gets)
Might not even make much money by the time you sell depending on what he does in a full strength team

He's basically a cashout with potential upside. But really if you wanted him you had to move 1-2 weeks ago.

Granville likely scores maybe 10 points less than Robson in 13 and 16, for $400k less and get the cash upside the next few weeks. Is the best cash cow available at the moment.

Have considered. Just seems at value, whereas Drinky is potentially underpriced at 50k less and has a slightly better schedule (R15 bye easier to navigate than R14)

Just note that he played an extra 10 mins this week then he generally will.

He got subbed off and victor radley went to hooker, pretty well straight after that radley got binned and the roosters were forced to bring cheese  back on as they had no hooker.
Well there is every chance Radley gets binned every week…

    Are you keeping Host mate?
Yeah bit of sunk cost fallacy with it

The option of Host + Manu + extra trade used I went with actually heavily outscored TPJ + Alamoti which was my alternative (as I played IKatoa) and the reason I bought as R13 EDG hasn’t really changed

The issue is the stunted cash gen but someone like Luki might not be a bad straight swap if Host has ghosted R13

That's a bit of a stretch. Robson has hit 70+ three times this season. He is down about 10 tackles a game at the moment and about 2 misses per game and not running as much (due to forwards not getting quick ptb). It won't take much for him to covert to 60s, whilst Granny won't take much to revert to 20s.

Granville averaging 40 in his big minute role the last couple of weeks. Robson more 30s and 40s than 70s. Wouldnt want to be paying $700k+ for a guy that is going to have lots of 30s and 40s when I can get that for $300k.

    Yeah, probably the safe play

I’m tempted to flip to Granville, but it’s not like a new cow won’t come along eventually

And getting Granville then makes Robson an awkward target down the track too

Maybe I’ll play smart instead of balls to the wall for once

After letting people know about B Smith, I now think I will be trading him in. Alamoti, Warbrick, Katoa to JDB, Bsmith and Bula is too hard to pass up. Thoughts on these trades?

Isn't the issue that you *can't* pay $700k and are constructing an argument to suit that fact?

Robson is a top three season-keeper hooker with great byes. Granville isn't. It doesn't matter if you're paying premium if you can afford it.

I don't think I'm onboard the Granville train. Didn't Payton only use 2 players off his bench last week? I can't see that being the norm moving forward.

The two alternative cashout options I'm looking at are:

Hands in the hope Hodgson's role is significantly reduced after his performance last week

Sele who passed the eye test for me last week and will hopefully pick minutes up over Origin if Cook/Murray/Arrow are out

Lolo 4 weeks away, then Cotter plays Origin.

Luki plays EDG, so they can dump Gosi

Alternatively I skip De Belin and just get Horsburgh in 1 trade instead. Just not sure I can trust Sticky

Alamoti and Warbrick appear maxed so no issue shifting them on.
    Trades look solid.

Its a similar situation to Eels at the start of the season, Payten plays the guys he can trust.
