I forget because I have the memory of a pigeon, but tonight seemed a lot like the trial I saw at Gosford. Doorey scored a try and then went off injured a few minutes later. Is this possible injury the same one he had after the Eels' second trial?

I *think* it was an ankle injury in the trial.

Nrl physio reckons Doorey has done a Patella subluxation (1-3 weeks) or dislocation (4-8 weeks) based on the footage he had.

Would be good to see Murchie get a start on the EDG with Matto needed through the MID.

Despite having Cleary, Cook, Murray, DCE , Tohu and Teddy my team still does shit every week. Weird start to the year man, worst I've had in as long as I can remember.

Starts with not being able to get a captaincy choice right, really starting to piss me off tbh

Looks like the Carty Party rolls on endlessly.

So much regret that I snubbed the invitation

It probably plays out this way.

Hopgood probably plays 50 mins or thereabouts, maybe even less. Matto similar. Carty seems set for a good cashie if you've jumped on him early.

Eels gonna be 0-4, maybe 0-5 with the rested Panthers and Roosters up next. Then they have a nice run where it might be worth jumping on Moses.

I'm wondering how long I'd hold Doorey. 1-2 weeks, probably. 3-8, probably not.

I think its a stretch even at 2 weeks. Still going to be a slow burn cow scoring 30s when he is back.

I jumped on him to start the season simply due to Hazza G and stacking my mids with Muz and Carrigan, and 2rf with DFifi. It's currently working in my favour but as we all know, NRL is a funny beast and quickly changes.

Disagree with Turbo over Tedesco because of ability to match scoring.

Turbo minus the 21' season outlier has never got anywhere near Tedesco in fantasy scoring

He's started the season better. Better decision.
He can match Ted in game stretches, yes

But expecting him to outscore or match Tedescos average is unliekly to happen over season

Hopgood could become an interesting loop option coming up. Miss the 30s, catch the 60+ scores.

Not that I think this is how it'll play out but if he's 30s and 60s at 700k he's not a loop, he's a sell.

So after a poor game, he's gone from replacing Cleary as the nailed on god of fantasy and captain supremo to bit part fantasy benchie.

Poor Hopgood, like the girl you take home after 15 pints offering the world too, then waking up sober and ushering her out the door before breakfast

I didnt say that, as previously stated, my captaincy choice from round 4 is Tohu, while seeing what happened to Hopgood's minutes, when Matterson is back. Looking likely that he is going to be in the 50s. Hopgood wasn't the only cheap captaincy choice that appeared in round 1.
