My concern on Bird is his minutes and that his first stint was awful. Probably ends up close to a 45 ave but don't think he's urgent. There's tons of ctrs around 600k that can go boom at any time, but think the cheapies can do the job for now as ctrs can also have very low games (same reason I didn't get Hammer)

Expect mid year that most options will look similar and it's take your pick between Manu, Graham, Lomax, Crichton, Holmes, Farnworth etc.

Not a bad point, you’re paying for the floor in a dogshit position. Bird was coming off surgery so mins may increase

Bird v Turbo v Walsh is interesting. I think Turbo and Walsh having better IRL performance than fantasy score is worrying, whereas Bird just offers safe floor at CTR

I think with Teddy dipping in price I’m much less inclined to get Walsh/Turbo

I've done that same trade Matt, along with Hodgson to Walsh

    Leaves me with this

    Robson
    Carrigan Haas Sutton
    (C)Hopgood Carty Party
    Trindall Moses
    HTF Alamoti
    Turbo Talau Walsh

EButcher EKatoa Preston Chee Kam (Do I have enough edges?)
Cleary HSS Miller & Warbrick in the L**p

I don't really have any guys that need to go this week so I guess I am lucky, but have guys like TMM, BMM, Doorey and Talau who I can't really trade for anyone. Would like Preston or to somehow find a way to get Walsh but just don't have many options to get them.

BMM is a hold mate, he will likely play good minutes again and got 24 in the first half, he will be a slow burn. You should biff TMM for Preston and bank the profit.

He owned it in his second stint, still there are loads of options for you with 700k in your kitty.

I certainly had the feeling they are managing Bird like they are Turbo.

For operating at 80% Bird still put up 52 - for a CTR DPP that is gold.

I don’t get point 3, BSmith has a bye next week, so you’ll need a HOK or MID if cover is bad

Oh yeah, I wasn't seriosuly thinking of trading BMM. I think he can get bigger scores. But he is just an example of guys in my squad who I couldn't trade for a profit anyway. The thing with TMM right now that he good for depth if I have any late outs this week.

    Grant
    Cheese, Carrigan, Hopgood
    Carty, Katoa
    Douehi, Trindall
    Holmes, Alamoti
    Walsh, Miller, Warbrick

    Loiero, EButcher, Boyd, Cleary
    Doorey, TMM, HSS, ITT

    54k itb

I am considering Boyd to Preston as 1 trade. Was thinking Cheese to a gun mid with the difference but that leaves me no hooker and no mid cover. Holding Cheese though means I still need to bring in a mid next week to cover the bye.

    Other consideration is
HSS and TMM to Shaq and Preston - keeps coverage for mid and hooker, gives cheese and Boyd another chance

Anything obvious to do with this lot?

I'd hold Boyd & CNK personally, at least on first glance - More research may be needed though

I feel Boyd can still score 35-40, heck if he nabs a try it's 50 points give or take

Not sure the team needs Bird with Alamoti and Penis.

Would suggest the team needs playable depth this week, have lots of WFBs, don't need CNK when you have Too, with Warbrick on the EMG, and cash gen has stalled for him and you don't want to be relying on Doorey for scoring.

Would go NAS and CNK to a couple of guys that could average 50 each like Nicholls and Wilton, who just come in on budget. That depth will really come in handy as guys like Trindall and Carty disappear.

I think you can wait on Bird while his minutes are managed he isnt going above 700k

    Your HK options appear to be in my choice of order;

Mahoney (doing a lot more this season)
    Wade Egan (churning out 1PPM)
    Liddle(good PPM as well)
Api - not 100% here the tigers look awful and he might still be origin relevant.

I was looking at the lack of CTR coverage.

Bigger issue might be at Hooker.

Its another week where I want to trade 3 or 4, but have to settle for max 2.

I'm considering a jump on early and hope POD.

Any reason why CHN won't continue these current huge minutes at lock?

For me the lack of depth is the concern, need decent playable guys to stack the bench with. Alamoti and Penis have job security, can deal with it if they later get injured.

Agree that HOK needs some cover too, but that is a big correction. To get someone decent, you are looking at $700k+.
