Yeah, I'm not cause that leaves me with no centre cover so scrap that.

Just leave it I reckon. It's a bit of a lottery with all of those guys and Sloan hasn't even been selected yet.

If you had someone like Katoa he would be an easy switch to Trindall for a punt but any one of these rookie/cheap backs could be dropped at any point so best to just run with what you've got so you're not worrying about cover until absolutely necessary.

Crazy to be considering tapine to stefano to allow me to turn one of my dud centres into bird next week now we know he’s playing lock? I’ve got massive cold feet on my spud centres. They always destroy me every year so I’ve got PTSD and have a stacked mid line

I reckon most have got spud centres so you're not putting yourself at a massive disadvantage but swapping Tapine for Uto might set you back (I would want to see Uto play >40mins before I'm convinced)

Cheers mate. I think I'll go Thompson down to Trindall and keep Talau. I've already had a dud in TMM at that 300K price point so might go the base price one.

Edit: I suppose I could drop the extra 100k on Uto but that kills the piggy bank for next week

run Trindall mate, Hynes is week to week and Trindy will get 40+ over two weeks I reckon, if not he will $ up more than someone else you can flip to.

the longer term option is Talau, who might surprise.

Who gets the chop for Tohu next week?

A few different options but most likely Garner (however annoyingly would likely need like another $15k, so would require a second trade such as Uto to Ford or Meaney to Miller. So not sure..)

So there’s a chance we make the grand final is what I took from that! Excellent!

Good move....net yourself a few $$ as well. I'm not sure Thompson does any better than any of the other spuds (he'll score a hatty now i've said that)

I was going to run Uto and Sutton, but decided on Murray for the safe bet because I don't know Uto's minutes.

Between Turbo, Sutton and Burton I think this game has the most players I wanted to squeeze in but couldn't find room for. Hopefully not too many regrets haha.

I obviously wanted Carrigan all pre season but he had become the victim of trying to squeeze a few others in. Last minute realised Ive got to get the big fella back in there.

18/90 at royal pines yesterday. Not too bad. Greens were super hard.

Palm Meadows later today.  About to have a gin i think
My mate is a member at Emerald Lakes and I've played there a few times. If you're keen for a pretty stress free round, fairly flat and forgiving course (while still having challenge), that's the one. I've always had a great time playing there. Just across the road from Palm Meadows as well I think. Enjoy the round!

Fuck really unsure of whether to swap Katoa for Trindall.

I can just see Hynes being back next week and me having a 280k red dot. Think I'm just too risk averse to bring him in. Best of luck to all who take a punt on him, I hope he puts up a decent score or two for you all!

I had heard he wasn't playing half, hadn't heard he was definitely lock.

Fuck it I’ll go Perham, Garner is the only fire to put out thus far, so keeping 150k spare to open up the options with an eye on grabbing Bird if the rest of my team ends up being fine is probably the play, Perham seems the most stable in terms of having the coach’s seal of approval, whether his play backs that up is another question, but there’s a lot of dart throwing involved in picking any of these basement backs.

    I'm thinking Preston & Tanner?

I would be amazed if Tanner gets enough minutes to select at all. I have him down for 10 minute estimate. I expect Pele would be better, but wouldnt select either.

Players outside of the top 30 cant hold their spot when guys like TPJ come back.

Playing Stone probably the safest of them.

Also I think we should get cracking on organising Magic Round early this year. Should be plenty of time for QLDers to get organised, plus the few excited NSW troops to rally around. Had a great time a few years ago and great to meet you all. Will post in the Magic Round thread from now on - come over if interested.
