I'm four points ahead in my Eliminator, hoping updates don't screw me here.

Barely any differences with opponent

Still no Fanatic matchup for me by the looks of it, but looks like Jele vs Pascoe Fiasco

Me: Sorensen, Fifita, Moses, Lomax, Suaali’i/Edwards (likely playing Suaali’i because Edwards sucks)
Opponent: Walsh, Cook, IPap, Billy Smith, Nikora

No fanatic matchup for me either (unless Eungai Eels is one of us), though I did beat arsendragon a couple weeks ago.

I've got DFifi, Gutho, Trell, Bateman, AFB, Lem and Preston to his DCE, Haas, Carrigan, Murray, Ford, Horse and Marzhew, so I need the fullbacks to fire.

If Piakura keeps his starting spot, I may take a punt and play him over Edwards (currently got him in my 17 and assuming CNK is not available)

Play Garrick or Penisini, both with difficult matchups against Panthers and Broncos

Opponent has neither. Was hoping to bench both but Lomax out

Garrick more upside but up against the tougher team. I still go with him.

My team is set to go well if injury and suspension carnage happens.
Choice of last reserve this week is between Bateman, Tohu, Preston, Avo and Walsh/Gutherson?
Hard to choose who to play out of Walsh and Gutherson. Could play both and not worry about that last reserve then?

Based on the likely outcome of that match, you'd have to go with Walsh, wouldn't you? Unless there's more to the Walsh injury mentioned elsewhere...

Of all those you mentioned, though, I'd like Preston.

Probably Garrick for me because I generally like fullbacks more than centres.

Up to 3rd overall in VSDT now, made some really good gains on the leader with round ranks of 2, 7 & 10 in the last 3 rounds.
Unfortunately realised I’m not eligible for any of the prizes though due to not living in Aus or NZ, so playing for pride only in the last few rounds. Takes the pressure off a bit but will still be slightly gutted not to get a cash prize if I hold on to a good rank over the last few rounds!

Great looking team, well done mate. Team in first looks like they've got a couple of weaknesses compared to you (and the other chasing teams), so I'd say you're in with a real shot.

Looks like it might be the end of the road for me, Moses out of 2nd half, Fifita & Sorensen average. Need a $1.6m performance from Suaali’i

Opponent did have Schuster AE which is good

Big game this one in my match-up. Opponent has SJ (c), Tohu, and Ford in his 17, plus Uto, Bula, Simpkin in his NPRs. I've got SJ plus Bateman.

23 points ahead in my eliminator match-up pending updates (does VSDT even update?).

Think I’m screwed for next week though, with Moses, Lemu and Preston, joining Haas, Carrigan and Walsh on the sideline…

I'm 37 points short in my eliminator matchup, Preston's sinbin and captaining Ponga over Hynes is what's cost me (though captaining Hynes alone wouldn't have saved me, so I had to go for it)

Moved into 2nd overall now and gained more ground on the leader. 88 points behind now with quite good squad depth and 2 trades left if needed.
Keeping fingers crossed the momentum carries on through the last 3 rounds!

Good luck to all for the rest of the season, especially those still going in the eliminator.

Bit annoying having a look that I came up against the highest scoring team in the eliminator and would have beat 11 of the 15 other teams last week

Yeah that sucks. I got through but will need a miracle this week. Can't field a full team between byes/injuries/suspensions...

Stay positive, your opponent may have problems too given all the carnage recently !

Used my last 2 trades this week.
Moses/Hopgood to Latrell/AFB.
Might look a bit strange but ...
