unless we get an obvious cash cow, not like a henry, gutherson, green but like really obvious then maybe. or if you are trading up to a legit scorer. otherwise might just be best to wait for a bit

Barba so far on 1 but hasn't seen any ball. He's the type of player that will rely on attacking stats so you need him big plays. He will get a few kick defuses hopefully.

No use putting a positive spin on Barba lol, mood here is pretty grim after today's antics

I'm still wondering wether I drop Evans for a cow like Bhana etc, and then use that 145k for hooker repairs next week. Seggy to Smith, Lichaa to Peats or something of the sort. Least I have the day to mull it over/get everyone's opinion

surely Merrin updates? Woods base stat line up with Graham's few tackles less before updates same RM, more penalties and no attacking stats he will be fine

I watched the game without stats and thought Merrin would be on 60+ thought he got through a lot of work. Woods scored well enough for me. Carty was spent at the end of the match in my eyes and missed some tackles... but he will have some big games going on his attacking skills.

Nah mate, you deleted the part of my post where I said 51 was reasonable/par. Was getting the feeling others weren't happy with 51.

Reason why I didn't want to run with Barba and Feeney as two of my WFB.

At the moment Barba looks like he is content to sit back playing more of an organising role, tipping it on and occasionally sniffing around for an offload. Don't mind him doing it as long as he gets more active in the 2nd half, otherwise.... Well I have nfi what I'll do with him.

I think you really need to do the maths to be happy in your decision whichever way it goes. I know that's difficult in Round 1.

I don't have a decent 18th man, my strategy of holding back all that cash dictated that. I will probably have to do something with Lichaa next week. If all you lads who have 1 or 2 serious injuries have a decent 18th man, it might just be worth watching how the rest of the round plays out. But please don't take my advice on this, I am in a different boat to pretty much everyone else at this stage.

To be fair in theory running with Barba wasnt a bad idea. Im giving all my players 3 rounds to improve (unless injury strikes of course).

Can one fucking player in my team score above my estimates?
Par - Merrin, Parker, DCE, Woods, Whitehead
Bogey - Carty (might be harsh), Green, Littlejohn
Double-bogey - Seg and Liicha (coz they got injured)

Expect a few guns to be under their average in the opening rounds. Woods had the most meters and his tackle count was top 3 or 4 so it's all relative. Twas a funny old game as well.

I had Moeroa and Brooks round 1 last year who combined for about 3 points total, so Barba is a big upgrade...lol

Obviously removing Evans would mean id need to run Taylor as a reserve. Which doesn't scare me as much as it did earlier in the week

Interestingly, Barba had a better first half than RTS.

I doubt you will last 3 rounds and don't think you should anyway. Fixing the mistakes that you're guaranteed to make in your starting team is too important to wait that long for.
