Although wonder how close those guys would be to 1st overall if they'd used a couple of trades earlier.
All I can say to those top 1000 teams with 5 and 6 trades ... Piss off.
They're either geniuses and that's some arsey picks that worked out for them.

With only 1 trade left, do I trade Aitken (or Barnett) to field a solid 17th man, or run with Jojo Fifita/Fonua Pole this week and save the trade for a potentially bigger out next week?

Not in contention for anything - just pride.
Just do it mate - does Fantasy even continue through to Rd.25?

A cliff edge, where crickets live and tumbleweeds blow? Unusual biome. Guessing central Colorado somewhere?

If so, that probably explains the lack of response to your Aitken question.

Sorry Bludger. You could throw Ramien in the mix - if you like match-ups, he's got Dogs and Knights left. Or Koula at FB - less fantasy pedigree but in a much better scoring position.

Holzman wrote:So I have 1 trade in the bag and 32k, only care about Grand final and its this week so need the win.

    My uniques are

    Fifi v Yeo
    Munster v Bird
    Mahoney v Brown
Tago v Aitken (they have at least 1 trade left)

I was looking to upgrade either

Tago - althought no good centres and warriors seems a good matchup
Mahoney - to SOS, NOS, Brailey, Smith
Tohu to Butcher (maybe chasing scores)

    Hey Holzman,
    Two suggestions:
1: Use MTBs site and you can find out exactly how many trades your opponent has and how much cash in the bank.
2: For a head to head grand final, suggest you watch game by game. If you’re up, trade one of your players to match one of his. If you’re behind, trade a common player to create a new difference.

Having said that, you’ve got Mahoney vs Brown up first which is the match up I’d be most worried about.

Bird’s two games at centre this year have been very disappointing.

Would be nice to be able to go Kennedy > Talakai/May and hope for Aitken back next week but 6k short of doing so. Will probs go Aitken > Burton/Lomax/Ramien. May could score a triple this week, still might go him. It’s almost poetic with the turnaround I’ve had that I should spend my final trade on a CTR. They are the ultimate equaliser

I think we’re just tradeaholics here who get fomo. I’ve got 2 left, and my last 2 were sideways / backwards. I also made 2-3 stoooopid trades that were a complete waste (Wishart anyone?) I can see how 5-6 trades left is feasible.

That said, I also think the 4 extra has had the opposite effect for many. They got complacent and used the first allocation and the extra 4 turned up just in time for carnage round.

I agree with JM, Mahioney is biggest concern. he can go big but has put up some stinkers this year

Can you loop him at all? Play him at 18 and then reassess on Friday - do you have a good 18th man to play /trade over Mahoney if you don't like his score

My primary team (The Bludgers) has run out of trades - we're down to fumes.
    affraid
This is for my son's team - he has 2 trades left.
Koula covers Aitken, tossing up between Cheese, Bird, NAS as final 17 player.
Any other names jump out (up $626k) or he can double trade (Booth, $301k) and cash-out to a $220k and pick up someone up to $700k.
All comes down to whether or not NAS retains his current edge role, or if Cheese maintains his run of effort/form.
Bird is back at centre, but is the 'safe' option' for centre cover.

Any feedback or ideas would be appreciated.
