990 with Hammer and Pole to come. Quite happy. Murray as captain was great. Matterson & Tago were the only far below average performers

There was incident in the game when Salmon was pushed onto his back and in his earnest to play the ball quickly he seemed to kick out which collected Starling in his junk and shoulder. He was placed on report.

Sticky goes to press conference and says Salmon was a weak gutted dog as a kid and now he is a weak gutted dog as an adult.

Apparently he was refencing an incident that happened 12 years back between Stuart's son and Salmon when they played under 12.

From what I remember from holding Panthers close to the end of the season in previous years is that the rotation changes up in the last few games and guys like Yeo & JFH tend to play reduced minutes rather than being rested (they're so far in front however they can afford to mix that up this season). The Storm gave up mass resting a few seasons ago after it completely fucked their momentum and they lost in straight sets in the finals.

I really don't understand the origins of the use of 'dog' in Aussie slang.

You 'dog' your mates - you do them dirty
    You're a 'dog' - you're a cunt

Dogs are loyal, protective, caring, affectionate, energetic.... dogs have done nothing to deserve us using their name so disparagingly.

I would like to petition to change from dog to cat. We all know cats are the real assholes of the animal kingdom.

Just watching the Rabbits v Warriors Kayo Mini. Lots to praise, but maybe the most impressive part was DWZs chase and try saver on Johnston. Great effort.

Mass resting ruining momentum is a bit of a false equivalence IMO, Souths played a full reserve grade lineup in round 25 last year then beat Penrith in the finals the next week. Plus Storm mass rested in the last round of 2020, lost to the Dragons, and won the comp. Definitely wouldn't be surprised to see Panthers or Cowboys do it this year especially when there's not much to gain playing each other in the last round

Maybe, but both of those teams rested heavily during and after Origin this season.

2020 was a bit of a outlier as everyone played a shit load of games in a row with no byes or SOO.

There will definitely be some resting but most of the big players have already had injury breaks or a rest so far this season.....it will depend on the final ladder position jostling and the coach's philosophy I suppose

Wonder who'll win this one, the team in blue and white or the team in white and blue.
