Was jumping back on Manu cause I have a crush on him and the centre DPP, but Munster I guess is starting to feel safer, even while losing the centre DPP.

Best case scenario he misses 2 matches, which is 40% of the remaining season. I still think they will most likely hold him back until the Round 24 clash vs the Broncos which could decide the top 4 spot. This means he misses 3 matches or 60% of the remaining season
And now Tommy_gun goes and puts forward things like stats and facts to make me think it's worth running the gauntlet with 1 remaining trade to pick up Cook. (the good one, not the $240k rookie)

Would you go Munster over Teddy? Goal kicking and playing the Titans is starting to tempt me...

I'm not sure the goal kicking adds much to Munster's fantasy game (and I'm definitely bring him in). He's just over 50% for his NRL career

Edit : Maybe if the Storm rack up 10 tries and he kicks five or six goals he gets an extra 10 points or so

Yeah, it probably doesn't add a lot, but at the same time, it couldn't hurt. If the Storm rack up a score an extra 6-8 points in GK certainly wouldn't go astray.

It's definitely a cherry, just not a very big one (and maybe one to bring him in but certainly not captaining him for).

He could definitely carve up around the ruck against the Titans which is more of an incentive

bigbruno wrote:Hi lads, I'm pretty dead in the Fanatics leagues as you guys are maniacs, but still very alive in my leagues with friends and keen to keep it that way! haha. I currently have 3 trades left, with Moses, Cleary and kennedy in my team.

I am dead set on Cleary to Murray, but the next 2 trades I'm lost. Heres my team:

    Reed
    Haas - Lolo - Murray
    Tohu - Crangus
    DCE - Douehi
    Aitken - Burton
    Teddy - Latrell - Hynes

    iPap - Elliot - Cotter - Barnett

    Wishart - Kennedy - Matamue - Moses

I'm aware I have very slim cover for my WFB and CTR's, with Hynes and douehi kinda floating.

I have 46k ITB and 2 trades, can't decide where to go.. I feel my limited fantasy knowledge has me fixated on a linear approach to trade-ins.

Would it be a bad idea to just keep Moses this week and see if there's a miracle update, and hold the 2 trades in the hope he has 1/2 more rounds at the end of the year? Or should I look to bring in some CTR/WFB cover in the likes of maybe Val holmes or something.. Or go Dbags and run the risk of no CTR cover and just 1 trade left? Gagai is always there as a cheap swap for Kennedy also.

I'm rambling now, but if anyone could point me in a better direction than i'm going i'd hugely appreciate it. My mates leagues has 5 of us within 100 pts and it's agony! hhaa

Sorry to quote myself lads, just working through the process. Currently got Cleary -> tapine/Murray but if I go there, I am leaving zero cover for wfb/ctr and halves until Moses is back. Should I be looking at someone like manu over tapine, or risk it for a biscuit?

Same kind of conundrum for me mate, so others may shed more light from a different set of eyes. I think 3 positions without cover is risky and yes, I've thought about doing it.

    Usual suspects I'd say:

    Hynes
    Cook
    DCE
    Murray
    Haas
    iPap

Roughly in that order for mine.

Grant/Munster vs the Titans, Doueihi vs Newcastle, and Latrell vs the Warriors might all be options if you fancy a punt too.

Doueihi is mighty tempting. Was thinking Cook but if the score blows out maybe he comes off for a bit of a rest.

Laptop broken so haven’t been able to offer much advice, sorry fellas (not that anyone should be taking it)

Silly to pick Haas over Cook for my second last trade and leave 350k itb for my final trade? Seems a lot to keep in the war chest for 3 odd weeks but Haas could be a must have without Carrigan. Cover not really a factor, but I do already have Grant and Robson and only Angus as MID cover.

I have no skin in the game but if I was holding Moses and had a spare trade I would be getting rid of him (except maybe if I had a decent 18th man to promote or it was my last trade) .

The two game prognosis is optimistic and it's more likely three to four. If he comes back early he's probably playing hurt and even when 100% Moses has a few 30-40 games in him.

    Also, I love cover.

Reckon it’s a bit crazy leaving yourself with that little cover.

With Moses a possible 2 weeks, will hold my last trade for now. Any more outs throughout the week and I'm playing Palasia though Lol

I gotta say I am loving the lack of a pick and stick captaincy option at this stage of the year. Definitely adds some spice as opposed to the (C)leary of last year.

Do you own Manu? If we don’t go Murray or tapine, it’s got to be Manu or Holmes…

I must say my favourite part any Fox article about a player who left a club under a cloud or in a hurry is when they quote one of his former teammates who is about to play against him and insinuate it's a character reference

'Oh yeah, Bunglicker is a top bloke and I learned heaps off him when he was here.'

As if they are going to say 'Bunglicker? he was an obnoxious and volatile character who could have started a fight in an empty lift, trained like an invalid and his personal hygiene was comparable to an African wild dog. I'm glad I don't have to deal with the shunt anymore.'

Damn, but Cheese is a shout for captain against the Tits. Lot to prove, loves a burrow, quite stupid, playing a weak spine team with badly-coordinated forwards.

Not a good a shout as (C)heezburgs, but still.
