I'd probably take Cory Paix @ 269k as the other cashout, should at least give you 15-20 most weeks if you'd need it

Realistically if you get that far down your EMG you're fucked anyway

Upgrade imo and you've just opened my eyes to how I can grab teddy and Grant/Burton this week

5 trades left and around $180k in the bank. Two trades locked in - Koula-> Mbye and Mahoney -> Cook, leaving a team of:

    Cook
    Ofa Haas Klemmer
    Papali'i Crichton
    Cleary DCE
    Burton Aitken
    Teddy Hynes Mitchell

    Elliott Harris Doueihi Bird
    RFM Booth Mbye Volkman

Worth burning a third trade to upgrade my 17th man? I was previously planning on looping Bird and RFM, but Bird's move to CTR and RFM's injury has me second-guessing that approach.

Looking at Bird -> Grant, which would also give me decent hooker cover, and spend my spare cash ($171k) which is burning a hole in my pocket.

Would leave me with only two trades to cover the last five rounds, and be a downgrade in CTR coverage from Bird to Mbye though.

Was gonna toss Moses but I was looking hard at matchups. Scored a 51 against the Panthers earlier this year and a 67 last year.

Could you do Koula Bird to Cook + a non hooker instead?

Mahoney has a bad week but has been ok

Same situation for me re looping Bird and RFM into 17. Quite annoying how that has turned out this week at least.

I like doing the three trades in your situation, Cook and Grant are very good upgrades. Mbye as centre cover could be better but you're improving the hooker cover too from only Booth so it balances out. I'd be inclined to go for it.

Thanks mate, that's an excellent shout. It would still have to be Mbye coming in, but becomes the difference between Grant and Mahoney as 17th man at the cost of the extra trade Question

Cheers. I think part of my doubt is that I'm not 100% sure on Grant. I feel like he's been struggling a bit, although his scoring remains pretty good.

My current 2 trades are Ola and Ramsey to Teddy and Clark, would it be a bad idea to also do Moses to Haas and run with 1 trade?

Gut says get Haas but running with 1 trade could go horribly wrong

Hynes season average is 69.0 and I think that might earn the captaincy in my team this week

I like the first option. Koula, Saab and Palasia are all trades and you get a genuine gun out of it. I reckon 4 trades left is still solid, that'll be more than most. I think I'd take option 3 off the table personally.

EDIT: just saw option 4, that's the way to go. Two mid rangers to gun/cow. When in doubt I reckon keep it simple and gun + milchcow (or cashout in this case) is the way to go. Ideally loop two of Booth/Palasia/Mbye this week and hope for the best.
